The Goodwill Event wraps up in a whirlwind of cheers and groans, the victorious energy in the air unmistakably belonging to Tokyo. It's a bitter pill to swallow for all of us from Kyoto Tech, even if we weren't allowed to compete this year. The announcement of Tokyo's victory echoes through the training grounds, and I feel a pang of disappointment gnawing at my chest. Aiko and Takeshi share the same sentiment—there's a shared look between us that says it all: frustration mixed with determination. Our senpais gather in a tight circle nearby, their expressions dark and unsatisfied. Utahime, especially, looks like she's ready to chew nails.

I notice Gojo off to the side, a smug grin plastered on his face as he saunters over to them. He's clearly loving this, and it doesn't take long for him to open his mouth and add salt to the wound.

"Well, Utahime, what a surprise," he drawls, his tone dripping with mock concern. "You came all the way here just to lose? Must be tough being so... consistent in your failures."

Her eyes narrow into slits, and she whirls around, jabbing a finger in Gojo's chest with enough force that I'm surprised he doesn't stagger back. "You insufferable man-child! I can't believe you still talk like this after all these years! You're just as obnoxious and conceited as ever!" Her voice rises in pitch, growing louder with every word as her frustration boils over.

Gojo's grin only widens, clearly reveling in her reaction. "Aww, Utahime, I didn't realize you were still holding onto all that resentment. Shouldn't you be thanking me for giving you some much-needed attention?"

Their argument escalates rapidly, turning into a full-blown shouting match, with Utahime's voice cracking from sheer anger while Gojo remains irritatingly cool. I should be annoyed, but I can't help finding the whole scene entertaining. For once, Utahime's sour mood isn't directed at me, and it's a small comfort to see someone else dealing with her wrath. Honestly, I might even enjoy watching her squirm a bit.

While they bicker, I glance over at Takeshi and Aiko, who've settled onto a bench. Takeshi's arm is casually slung over Aiko's shoulders as they lean in close, whispering to each other and giggling like they're in their own little world. The sight warms my heart. They're so caught up in each other's company that they seem oblivious to the chaos around them. Takeshi notices me looking and gives me a cheeky grin, as if to say, "Look how cute we are." I roll my eyes but smile back.

He eventually shifts his attention to Shoko and Geto, who are hanging back behind us. Shoko looks bored, lazily smoking her cigarette while Geto leans against a tree, observing the scene with an unreadable expression. Takeshi seems to decide that now's the perfect time to talk trash.

"Enjoy the victory while you can," he calls out, his tone playful but with an edge of determination. "Next year, it's our turn to compete, and we're going to wipe the floor with you."

Shoko raises an eyebrow, exhaling smoke slowly through her nose. "Big talk for someone who didn't even get to participate," she remarks dryly, though there's a hint of amusement in her eyes.

Geto's lips curl into a smirk, his eyes glinting with humor. "We'll be looking forward to it," he says coolly, his voice smooth as ever. "Just make sure you don't choke when the time comes."

Takeshi just laughs, unfazed. "We'll see who eats ash next year. You Tokyo folks might be strong, but you're not invincible."

Meanwhile, Gojo and Utahime's argument has reached a fever pitch, with Utahime practically vibrating with fury. Her voice has climbed to a high-pitched screech that's almost painful to listen to, and it looks like she's about two seconds away from pulling out something to hit Gojo with. He, on the other hand, is completely unfazed, still grinning like this is the most fun he's had all day. Honestly, watching them is like witnessing two storms clash. And as much as I hate to admit it, seeing Gojo wind her up is kind of hilarious.
