Chapter 54

(Jungkook POV)

Me and Tae caught up with the others straight away, but we also stopped talking to each other. Y/n was now walking to my right and Tae on the other side. Our friends followed us.As far as I'm concerned, it can stay like this.

My best friend on one side and hopefully my soon-to-be girlfriend on the other. Since it was too quiet for me, I just started a conversation. 

"What are we actually going to do at our place?" I asked, even though I didn't want to know right now. I just wanted to get rid of this weird mood."I don't know... I think it's too early to watch a film," Y/n said of her nonexistent idea. So I looked at Tae expectantly, which he understood and said something straight away. 

Even though this wasn't helpful either."Eh... yes, let's just wait with the film," he almost stuttered, while he ran his hand through his hair in shame.

 I looked at Y/n and noticed how she looked at TaeTae for a long time. Which immediately made me mad again.Nothing that Y/n is in love with Taehyung. That would be really bad. After all, HE is my best friend. 

"Guys, hurry up. It's supposed to rain today," I said quickly. I wanted her to stop staring at Tae like that."Are you okay? It's super warm, the sun is shining and the sky is blue," my stepsister looked at me amused.

 I was just about to say something back, but we were about to go around the next corner, but Y/N jumped to the side, right into my arms.In shock, I put my arms around her so that she wouldn't fall over.

 We stood there, hugging each other, and I was still looking at her in shock.Y/n, however, was looking somewhere else entirely. Behind her, which I then did to see why she was so shocked. 

I saw a medium-sized dog running towards us.Which only confused me more until Hobi whispered something quietly."She's afraid of dogs." That of course explained her behavior. 

To make her feel better, I picked her up and quickly ran past the dog towards our home.I looked over my shoulder and saw that the dog was watching us, but stayed with its owner. 

The owner put the leash back on the dog.Now I looked into Y/n's face and saw tears in her eyes.

 What something like that can trigger is really crazy. I stroked her back soothingly with one hand.Hopefully the tears will fade soon.

 As I continued walking, I heard the others following me.
