With all this sudden madness going on, he did not know what to do.
One morning, the whole neighborhood was happy, having a party on the following day and cooking barbecue chicken, hot dogs, and hamburgers on the grill. The next morning, half of the urban neighborhood was silent. A mysterious green mist appeared out of nowhere, people coughing, gagging, and sometimes even passing out on the streets. No one knew how this all happened in a matter of at least twelve hours.--

"Ezekiel!"
A voice was heard from behind the teenage boy, about seventeen years old. His black, slick hair combed back, matching his large  light blue eyes. The boy's skin tone was quite tan, but only from the large amount of sun that he received throughout the beginning of summer break.
He sat at the desk on the other side if his room, typing up his school paper on the laptop while simultaneously playing an RPG on the side every few seconds.
"What is it,"
He turned to see that his younger sister, Tabitha had a horrified look on her face, as if she had seen a ghost of some sort.

"You gotta come look at this! Like the whole neighborhood is so foggy! But not like regular fog! It's green, and people are passing out in the streets and coughing! You gotta see this!"  Tabitha's eyes matched her older brother's. She was fifteen years of age and had short blonde hair. Her skin was more pale than Ezekiel's since she never really wanted to go outside. Instead she'd stay in the house and read books all day long throughout the break.

"Stop joking, Tabitha. I'm busy right now with schoo---"

"I swear on dad's grave! Something is going on outside and I think people are dying out there!"

At first, the raven didn't believe his younger sister since she lied to their mom constantly to get her way and never get caught until it was too late, but then the horrified look in her eyes seemed convincing enough to make him save his documents and stand up from his chair.

"... Alright, I'm coming, but if you're lying to me, I'm putting your ass in a headlock."

After walking down the hallway, looking at  the family pictures, later seeing his deceased father who passed away a few weeks before Ezekiel's birthday due to an unexplained death. He knew there was something more to it, but never bothered to tell anyone.

"See!? Look!"

Tabitha extended her arm at the door, refusing to open it.

Ezekiel gave his sister a menacing look.

"What-? Open the damn door! My paper's due tomorrow!"
