Ash and Alice move cautiously through the dense undergrowth of the Kanto Safari Zone, their eyes scanning the area for any signs of the Exeggcute with the Arceus mark. The sounds of distant battles serve as a constant reminder of the danger surrounding them.
Alice whispers, "Do you think the Exeggcute will be close by?"
Ash nods, keeping his voice low. "They usually stay in clusters near the tall grass. We need to stay alert. If we find one with the mark, it could turn the tide of this war."
They continue forward, the tension thick in the air. Suddenly, Alice spots a group of Exeggcute nestled under a tree. Her heart skips a beat as she notices the faint glow of an Arceus mark on one of the eggs.
"There!" she whispers excitedly, pointing.
Ash quickly surveys the area, his instincts kicking in. "Let's approach slowly. We don't want to startle them... or attract unwanted attention."
As they inch closer, the Exeggcute notice them but remain calm, seemingly sensing their intentions. Just as Ash reaches out to connect with the marked Exeggcute, a loud rustling from the bushes nearby catches their attention.
A group of soldiers, bearing the insignia of the corrupted government, emerge, weapons ready.
"We've been spotted!" Alice hisses, eyes wide.
Ash reacts swiftly. "No time to fight—we need to retreat!" He grabs Alice's hand, and with a quick command to Pikachu, they bolt in the opposite direction, the Exeggcute following closely behind.
They dash through the forest, dodging branches and leaping over roots, the soldiers hot on their heels. Just as the soldiers close in, Ash spots a narrow passage between two massive boulders. He pulls Alice towards it.
"Through here!" Ash urges.
They squeeze through the gap, and as the soldiers reach the entrance, they find themselves blocked by the very Exeggcute Ash and Alice were seeking. The Pokémon release a cloud of spores, disorienting the pursuers long enough for Ash and Alice to escape.
Once they're a safe distance away, Ash grins, catching his breath. "Looks like we've got some powerful allies already."
Alice smiles, relieved. "And we didn't even have to ask."
Ash and Alice land on Exeggutor Island, the towering Alolan Exeggutor swaying above them. "Finding the one with the Arceus mark won't be easy," Alice says, scanning the area.
"We have to move fast," Ash replies, keeping an eye out for any signs of danger.
As they search, Alice spots a faint golden mark on one of the Exeggutor. "Ash, over here!" she calls quietly.
Ash rushes over, eyes locking on the mark. "That's the one."
Suddenly, drones appear, hovering ominously. "We've been found!" Alice exclaims.
"Keep them busy—I'll get Exeggutor to safety," Ash commands.
Alice sends out Oricorio, which dazzles the drones with a blinding Feather Dance. The drones falter, their sensors overloaded.
Ash approaches the marked Exeggutor. "We need your help—come with us."
The Exeggutor nods and follows Ash as he leads it toward the island's edge. Alice soon joins him, the drones still disoriented by Oricorio's distraction.
"Let's go," Alice says, pointing to a small boat nearby.
They escape the island with the Alolan Exeggutor, knowing their mission is far from over but feeling a small victory in their success.
