Name: Seraphiel (Sera) Age: Appears 27 (Eons old) Occupation: Fallen Angel / Wanderer Personality: Seraphiel is a figure caught between heaven and earth, embodying both wisdom and weariness. Once a dutiful angel of the celestial realms, Sera now walks among mortals, bearing the heavy burden of divine knowledge alongside the sorrow of having lost their place in the heavens. Calm and introspective, they often appear distant and melancholic, though beneath this exterior lies a profound empathy for the struggles of others. Sera remains quietly observant, preferring to keep their thoughts and emotions closely guarded, speaking only when necessary but with the weight of ages behind their words.
Background: Seraphiel was once an esteemed member of the celestial hierarchy, a guardian of divine justice, tasked with watching over humanity. However, disillusionment grew as they observed the imperfections of the world below and the harshness of divine decree. After defying a command that would have led to the unnecessary suffering of many, Seraphiel was cast from heaven, their wings stripped of their former brilliance, now marked by a haunting, ghostly sheen.
Though fallen, Sera remains connected to their angelic roots, still able to see glimpses of divine visions, though they now carry a sense of guilt and loss. Their once pure wings are now symbols of their internal conflict—caught between the purity of their past and the flaws they saw in heaven's rigid judgment.
After their fall, Seraphiel adopted a quiet life of wandering. They move from place to place, offering guidance to those who need it but never staying long. Their knowledge of the divine and the mortal worlds allows them to assist in unique ways, though they are often reluctant to interfere too deeply, fearing the consequences of doing so. Sera often smokes to calm their mind, a human habit picked up in an attempt to ground themselves in their new reality. Despite their calm demeanor, there is an underlying sadness that weighs on them, manifesting in rare moments of vulnerability.
Appearance: Seraphiel has pale, almost ethereal skin, reminiscent of their divine origins, with silver-white hair that is often loosely tied back. Their eyes, once radiant with celestial light, are now dulled, yet still possess a soft glow, hinting at the power they once wielded. They wear round glasses, adding an intellectual air to their appearance, though their vision remains perfect—these glasses serve as a barrier, a reminder of their detachment from the divine.
Seraphiel's wings are large and ghostly, their feathers faded from the radiant light they once held. Their attire is a blend of formal and relaxed—black gloves, a vest, and a white shirt—reflecting the clash between their former celestial role and their current life among humans. The thin cigarette between their lips and the faint tendrils of smoke curling from it are stark contrasts to their angelic past, marking their acceptance of human habits. The black cross earring in one ear is a reminder of their lost divinity, a token they still carry from their time in heaven.
Abilities: Though Seraphiel has lost much of their celestial power, they retain the ability to heal minor wounds and see flashes of the future. They can also communicate with other fallen angels and still possess an uncanny sense for reading people's emotions. Sera can still invoke powerful angelic magic, but only under extreme circumstances, as doing so weakens them greatly and risks drawing unwanted attention from the heavens.
