She was a project.

She had been a project-a mission, nothing more. That was how it had started, and that was how it was supposed to end

Every moment of their time together, every touch, every word-it had all been part of a carefully crafted plan. A plan conceived by his team, by his colleagues, but especially by him.

As he sat in the dimly lit room, the glow of his laptop screen casting shadows on his face, his thoughts were consumed by the weight of the truth.

His hands, which had once been steady, now trembled as they hovered over the keyboard, his thoughts spiraling back to how it all began. The mission had been one of the most complex and dangerous he had ever been assigned. Devraj Rathore-a name that sent chills down the spines of even the most hardened officers, was a criminal mastermind. His business was human trafficking-women and children, shipped across borders, disappearing into the night, their existence erased as if they had never be. He executed his crimes so meticulously and so perfectly that the police had no solid evidence to pin him down.

For years, the police had tried to pin something-anything-on him, but he was too clever, too well-protected. Every time they got close, every time they thought they had enough evidence to bring him down, he slipped through their fingers like sand. It was maddening, infuriating. Everytime they had to let him go, watching helplessly as more lives were ruined.

Until Abhi himself had brought them a lead-a slim thread that could solve the entire web of Devraj's operations. Devraj was searching for a girl, a girl he had bought years ago. A girl who had slipped through his fingers and vanished into the shadows. It was the only vulnerability they had ever seen in Devraj Rathore, and they knew they had to exploit it. And that's where the plan began to take shape.

He remembered the meeting clearly, the way his colleagues had nodded in agreement, the way they had all seen the logic in it. She would be placed in Devraj's path, her presence impossible for him to ignore.

The idea was bold, risky. To use her as bait, a scapegoat to draw Devraj out into the open where his every move could be tracked. would gather evidence, uncover his network, and finally put an end to his reign of terror. And most importantly find the information and the previous uncountable victims of rathore.

It was his own suggestion that turned into a full-scale operation. They would place her in his path, make sure he found her, and then watch his every move. and when the moment was right, they would strike. It was the only way to gather the evidence they needed, the only way to bring down the entire network.

It wasn't a coincidence that Devraj Rathore had found her and turned her life upside down ruining her livelihood, her job, her house, her degree. It was all orchestrated, her address and information fed to him by the police.

They had made sure she was visible, accessible, setting the stage for the moment he would come for her. And everything had been going according to plan. She was supposed to be taken then and there, and the police would have moved in, and tracker him while trafficking catching him red-handed.
