'Stop staring at me' Crown Prince Kim Namjoon spoke softly to his new bodyguard

He could see from the corner of his eye as he read his book how much bodyguard Jeon Jungkook was staring at him

Namjoon faintly chuckled, '............. and what possible threat are you looking for in my Study room? Could I be in danger of bookshelves attacking me?' the crown prince let out a loud sarcastic theatrical gasp

Jungkook shyly looked down, embarrassed with himself for being caught staring

He just couldn't keep it together around his new client

In his defense, the crown prince was stunning

How could he resist marveling at the effortlessly gorgeous prince whom he had always grown up admiring?

He vividly remembered the first time he saw the crown prince on TV, he was only 13 then when Kim Namjoon wag introduced to the nation as the crown prince

The speech the crown prince gave touched the naive teenage boy's heart so deeply that he aspired nothing more than to serve the monarchy

A decade later, here he was as Crown Prince Namjoon's new head guard

He deserved that position more than anyone given his outstanding performance compared to the other newly recruited royal guards

His peers all agreed he was exceptional,  professional at his duties, and highly disciplined, yet ever since becoming the crown prince's guard, Jungkook found himself lacking basic discipline to take his eyes off Namjoon

It had been a week already and he still couldn't stop himself from occasionally just blanking out, lost, as he gazed upon his lifelong crush

The crown prince had been lenient and understanding the first few days, assuming the new young bodyguard was in awe of meeting royalty for the first time the same way new staff who came to work at the Joseon Palace did, but he was beginning to suspect something else

Was his new bodyguard interested in him?

After a few minutes of the crown prince indulging in his early morning reading,  he  felt Jungkook's gaze upon him again

Jungkook had completely zoned out

Eyes glued at the crown prince's naturally cherry-red lips

What he would give in the world to have those lips kiss him!

He was absent-mindedly licking his lips, totally lost when the crown prince suddenly turned to look at him

'Uh! Hey! What's up with you?' Kim Namjoon asked, placing a page marker in his book

Jungkook stuttered again, 'N...nnn...no......nothing Sir!'

Kim Namjoon stood and took steps towards Jungkook

'Talk to me, what's up with you? I'm getting uncomfortable with the way you're looking at me.' The crown prince asked curiously, his face a few inches away from Jungkook, his arms crossed on his chest

Jungkook was speechless

His body froze at the proximity of the crown prince to him

He gulped at the crown prince's  sweet-scented peach breath

'Oh my god, you're so adorable. Are you blushing right now? Do you like me, like THAT?' Kim Namjoon asked, fascinated at the young-looking innocent boy before him
