The first task

"Oh,Harry..."
Y/n found herself in the champions tent pulling Harry into a loving and warm hug.
Harry sighed into the crook of her neck and his tense muscles started to relaxed in her embrace.
Just as she was about to let go,he held on tight
"Just a little longer please."
There were people everywhere with those nasty pins
"Potter stinks" written on them.Let's just say,Harry wasn't thriving.
"Harry,don't you worry,ok?"
"I promise."
There was a silent Click-like noise,but since Y/n seemed to be the only one to notice,she just ignored it.
Their hug lasted for about 15 more seconds.
She gave him an encouraging smile while patting him on the shoulder.
"Good luck Fleur,Viktor."
Y/n nodded in recognition and shot the two other champions a sweet smile.
Finally she arrived at the champions compartment of Cedric Diggory.
"Are you alright Ced?"
"Yeah-"
He shook his head and got up now standing across from Y/n.
"Yeah,I think so."
She couldn't help herself and pulled him into a strong hug
"Cedric,I don't want you to be here."
Cedric let out a light chuckle while he began to stroke her head
"Well,it's a bit too late now."
"I know-"
There was it again,this clicking noise,just louder now so Y/n jumped back in surprise.
"What's wrong ?"
"N-nothing,I just heart this weird-"
Y/n was interrupted by the same noise that had been haunting her the whole time.
But this time not only did the noise sound,but with the noise a whole troupe of cameras and a very pushy reporter appeared in the middle of the tent
"Young love..."
Rita Skeeter sang to herself
"How...."
She paused for a quick second before saying,with a very disgusting smile
"How stirring.
The handsome Cedric Diggory-"
Her voice got deeper and rougher
"And the Boy who lived,Harry Potter,are both in love with the beautiful,intelligent and very naughty..."
Rita clicked her tongue and approached Y/n as slowly as a predator keeping an eye on his prey while her magic quill quickly and aggressively write down everything that came out of her mouth.
"Y/n Black."
All Y/n could do was glare.
"Y/n Black,who is playing with two Hearts,like it's nothing.She turns the champions against each other and who ever wins in the end,well-"
She shrugged innocently
"Whoever wins,wins her over as well."
Rita tutted slowly and pouted at Y/n
"Two innocent boys"
Her voice became captivating again and a gleam appeared in her eyes,reflecting all the money she would reap for this enchanting love story in the daily prophet.
"but her supposed best friend ,the clever and brave Hermione Granger,sees through her and tries to warn Harry."
Y/n's gaze wandered over to Harry where Hermione now stood as well,who was completely beside herself.
"Will Hermione Granger convince Harry Potter that SHE,in fact,is the right one.
And will Cedric Diggory-"
She brushed his hair out of his eyes to get a greater look at his utterly stunned face.
"Will he see through Y/n's game.
It's not a love triangle,it's a love-"
Rita thought for a moment
"It's a love quartet."
Happy with herself she looked at all of them
"You are not allowed to be here,this tent is strictly for champions,and their friends."
Rita was obviously surprised when the tall and broad Viktor Krum came up to her and told her what he thought.
However,the surprise faded into a mischievous grin and she stroked his cheek with her magic quill.
"I have everything I need."
And with that,she left the tent just for Dumbledore to enter and for Y/n to realise that she just got painted as the villain.
She slowly walked over to Hermione who was still frantic.
Dumbledore now took Hermione to his right and Y/n to his left and began to speak
"Good day,champions.
Gather round please.Now,you've waited,you've wondered and at last the moment has arrived."
They all stood in a circle.
"A moment only four of you can fully appreciate."
Slowly Dumbledore noticed the two young women beside him.
"What are you doing here,Miss Granger-"
He looked to the left
"Miss black?"
"Oh um,sorry.We'll just go."
And with that Y/n shot Cedric and Harry two reassuring glances before Hermione took her hand and they left the tent.
For a short time there was complete silence between the two of them,till Hermione decided to break it.
"Don't worry about her,Y/n"
She squeezed Y/n's hand even more
"Hermione,the only thing I'm worried about is that Harry and Cedric make it out alive."

They did in fact make it out alive,all the of the champions did.
And right now Y/n found herself sitting on a windowsill in the middle of the castle next to Cedric and the golden Egg in her hand.
The midday sun shone through the window and tickled Y/n's cool skin.
The sun would be over and the rain would turn into driving hail and thick snow,because now they were approaching the winter months,so Y/n closed her eyes and enjoyed the remaining and probably last rays of sunshine.
With her eyes still closed,she finally asked Cedric
"Are you suspicious?"
Cedric's gaze shot up
"Suspicious?Because of what?"
"Rita Skeeter,Daily Prophet,Harry,Me?"
She opened her eyes and leaned forward and didn't give Cedric a chance to answer
"I'm telling you Cedric this woman-"
Y/n began to whisper as if Rita was lurking around the corner
"This woman ist batshit crazy,you don't know what she's capable of.Eva told me everything about her.She sucks the life out of gossip.You know my father-"
Y/n was eager to tell Cedric everything
"When it came out that he "betrayed"
James and Lilly Potter,she took that story and made it her own.She is crazy."
Y/n took her index finger and tapped her brain.
Cedric looked at her and began to smile
"Y/n,I'm not suspicious."
He calmed her down.
"You don't know how relieving that is for me to hear,I-"
But she was interrupted by a group of Hufflepuffs
"Come on Cedric,we need to celebrate
-Yeah,Cedric,the Gryffindors are going crazy"
Cedric was torn between going to celebrate his victory or staying with Y/n.
"Go on,I still have to do something anyway."
She gave him an encouraging smile.

I feel like all this time I've totally neglected you.Haven't even thought about sending you a letter.Im sorry.But with everything going on it has been hard to find time.I'm sure Eva-Maria told you almost everything-"
A laugh escaped Y/n's lips as she thought about how Eva explained Y/n's "Love Story"
with Cedric to Nymphadora.
"but,yeah it's official,so that you can hear it from me personally,I'm going out with Cedric Diggory.
Nymphs,I hope to see you soon.
Love you,
Y/n"
Satisfied she put the parchment she wrote on in an envelope and sealed it.
She gave it to a random owl,which were freely available in the owlery and added
"To Nymphadora Tonks."
so the owl could fly off.
And after everything today she still had one more mission to complete.

"Hello,Harry."
Harry began to smile softly,immediately
recognising that voice,her voice.
This morning he had to fight a dragon and almost puke because of the nervousness and now he was standing alone with Y/n on the astronomy tower and watching the sunset.
Harry felt Y/n slowly approach,now standing right beside him as she leaned on the railing.
"Don't want to be part of your own party?"
He chuckled
"I think for them the thought of partying is much more important than the thought of me.That's why no one noticed me sneaking out."
Y/n frowned
"Are you kidding me Harry?The whole Gryffindor tower is looking for you.Honestly,I walked through the halls and everyone's shouting your name,so I figured,maybe you're at the astronomy tower."
She smiled at him
"And I was right."
"You know me too well Y/n."
"I do."
They remained silent for a brief moment.
"How are you feeling Harry?"
Y/n interrupted the silence
"Actually,I'm feeling pretty good,or relieved-"
He sighed while shrugging
"I mean,you would feel relieved too if you just won a fight with a dragon,wouldn't you?"
"Oh,I definitely would."
Harry looked at her,now leaning against the railing with his left arm
"And you?How are you feeling?"
"You know?I feel relieved as well,because you and Cedric and I think because everyone else survived.When I did the math and worked out that you had to deal with the horntail,I nearly fainted,again."
She glared at him
"But your move was extremely smart."
Her angry-like expression became proud
"I knew there was some Ravenclaw in you."
Harry shook his head
"Moody,it was Moody who helped me.You may not like him,but he saved my life Y/n."
Y/n looked from Harry's eyes into the distance
"I just don't know why he's so eager to protect you."
"He knows what I've been through."
"He doesn't even know you."
And silence fell upon them again.For a long,long,very long time.
"You did that too you know."
still looking into the distance,Y/n asked
"Did what?"
"Protect me,when you didn't even know me.
First potions lesson,Snape basically torturing me verbally and you stepped in.We did not sit in the same train compartment,not in the same house,never spoke a word to each other,still you felt the need to step up.Same thing's with Moody.I'm in this alone,14-years old,never had intentions on participating and Moody feels the need to step up.
Sometimes you need to be less cautious,Y/n"
He said softly taking her hand.
"Yeah,maybe you're right."
"I'm always right Y/n-"
She put her finger up to warn him
"Now don't destroy this moment of me giving in.It is unique."
Both started to laugh slightly the evening sun highlighting their faces.
"Now the second most important question-"
Y/n clarified
"Did you already solve the riddle of the mysterious golden egg?"
"No."
Harry answer was straight
"We opened it in the common room-"
He squinted his eyes in pain and disgust remembering the moment
"And shrill and terrible sound came from the egg."
Y/n's gaze became curious
"And was there something inside of the egg?"
Harry seemed to try to remember
"Yeah.."
He nodded slowly
"Yeah,well it wasn't a real egg,it consisted of an invisible paste and it looked like bubbles were trapped in there,like the ones you see underwater."
"Aha..."
Was the only thing Y/n could come up with,sometimes she needed someone to pinch her to prove that all of this is reality.
"Harry,I'm going to go now,I think Eva is going mad by now,I told her I was just going to leave for 20 minutes or so."
Harry sighed disappointed
"And I'm heading to the Gryffindor tower.I think I need a good and long sleep.
Goodnight,Y/n."
"Goodnight,Harry."

"Hi,Harry."
It was a snowy morning and Y/n sat,as always,next to Harry at the Gryffindor table,opposite from Ron and Hermione.
Fortunately,Ron and Harry got past their fight and became best friends again and Y/n and Hermione could relax again not being stuck in the middle of a stupid fight needing to reschedule everyday in order to match the person they hung out with.And they finally could spend some time together,as girls,alone.
But to be honest,this morning Hermione was everything other than relaxed.
Harry looked over at Cho spitting out his water trying to smile
"Wow Harry,you're the ultimate ladies-man"
Y/n chuckled evilly which earned her a slap on the shoulder from Harry,but all his negative and embarrassed thoughts washed away as Cho smiled at him sweetly,while her friends laughed at him.
"Look at this-"
Angrily Hermione began to read the story about the "love quartet"
"You really shouldn't care Hermione."
Y/n said carelessly,while devouring her breakfast cereal.
Yeah,Y/n didn't care,the only important thing for her was that Cedric understood that he was the only man in her life.
Cedric,and all the other Hufflepuffs.
Hermione glared at her knowing that this morning Y/n removed every daily prophet of the Hufflepuff table,but Y/n just shot her an innocent smile.She had a reputation to keep.
But they were interrupted by a small boy appearing next to Ron with a package
"Parcel for you,Mr.Weasley.
-Thank you,Nigel"
Y/n looked at Ron flabbergasted
"You hired someone to get you your things?How?"
But she immediately got her answer as Nigel stared at Harry.
Hermione cleared her throat and Ron now noticed that Nigel was still standing next to him,so he whispered slowly into his ear
"Not now,Nigel.Later.Go on."
And the boy vanished to let Hermione stare Ron down furiously.
"I told him I'd get him Harry's autograph."
Excited Ron began to open his package
"Oh look.Mum's sent me something."
He got up with this very long brown and orange robe with a lot of unnecessary and unfitting ruffles.
"Mum sent me a dress."
The whole Gryffindor table began to laugh.
"Well it does match your eyes."
Harry rummaged around in the package
"Is there a bonnet?Aha."
He held the bonnet up to Ronald's collar.
"Nose down,Harry."
Ron began walking towards Ginny.
"Ginny,these must be for you."
But Ginny was having none of it
"I'm not wearing that,it's ghastly."
Y/n and Hermione began to laugh hysterically
"What are you guys on about?"
So Y/n answered him while holding a letter from Nymphadora in her hands
"They're not for Ginny.They're for you."
Now everyone around was laughing.
"Dress robes."
"Dress robes?For what?"
