As you roughly sketch out a new design that you came up with earlier, a single blossom petal falls down onto the dress that you were drawing. You glance your head up and look at all the beautiful flowers ahead of you. Flowers can attract so many people without even doing a single thing.

With a sigh, you check the time on your phone, 16:23. Instead of heading back home, you gather all of your items, place them into your backpack and begin to start walking around the area aimlessly. A gentle breeze hits your face and you raise your arms to stretch your body after sitting on a wooden bench for over an hour. Many petals from the blossom trees above fall with the wind in slow motion and all you can do is admire the scene around you.

You feel your phone vibrate once in the back pocket of your jeans and you take one last look at the perfect scenery in front of you before checking who has messaged you. The name at the top of the notification reads, 'Annie🤍' so you swipe up to see what she said.

hey
where are you?

im down by the park
to get some fresh air
ill be home in a bit tho

You wait for her response and, from the corner of your gaze, you watch as a group of high schoolers pass by while laughing obnoxiously loud and chatting to one another. The things I would do to relive those days.

friend's party this
weekend?
sashas coming asw

u already know my
answers gonna be no

Annie has invited you to a few of her friends' parties but you always turn her down since you're not really into that kind of stuff. Well, you were. But that was back when you were in high school

ffs i cant believe
im about say this
please can u come?

awwwww
you said please!!

i hate you
im only asking you
bcsasha wanted you
to come

Before turning your phone off, you quickly check the time. It's now 16:39 so you start heading back home. The walk from the park to your apartment is around ten minutes but, of course time goes by quickly and soon you arrive home with a bag full of a new design ideas and the peace of your short walk.

"Yo. Annie, I'm home," you call out so that you're loud enough for her to hear you but not loud enough for the neighbours to also hear you. In response, you listen as you hear her say something back to you from her own room but you can't quite make out what she said so you head over to where she is.

The door to her bedroom is already slightly ajar so you push it open even further until you see her body taping and labelling boxes. "You're already starting to pack?" Neither of you have much in the apartment since both of your parents live fairly close to Mitras and you even often end up visiting them on some weekends. You just assumed that it would only take a day or two for Annie to pack all of her stuff.

Annie told you that she was going to move in with her boyfriend a month ago during school break which left you with about five weeks to find a new roommate since Annie was planning on moving out during the first week after the semester began.
