Harumi sighed, as she took one last look at the monastery."Where are you going?"Five steps. Only five steps. So close."A place where you surely can't follow."She answered."Try and stop me."Despite turning her back, she could tell he crossed his arms."You are so naive and stupid."She said turning around."Like that's new. I thought you knew me."Lloyd said. Harumi frowned."Like I used to know myself. But after learning some things.....It's clear I don't."Harumi admitted looking at her hands."Then find yourself here. Stay."Lloyd said."What's the point? I will never make up for the things I have done being with the ninja. Besides, you all hate me. I know all of you are waiting for me to leave."I never hated you!"Lloyd blurted out, leaving her stunned.
"You are more of an idiot than I thought."Harumi muttered."I may be an idiot, but that doesn't mean that I don't care about you. You can stay here. And even if you won't......Why leave now? What about goodbyes?"He asked her."It would be better. Would have. I hate goodbyes."She replied."You and me both."She stared at him."Guess I was right.....We truest are kindred spirits."She said shaking her head."No kidding."
"Will I ever see you again?"He asked her just as she was about to leave once again."Only if you need saving. Which in past experiences, won't be that long from now."She said smiling at him."This probably won't mean anything to you....But I wasn't lying....You know, back at the temple. I hope you know that."He said.
She didn't know what it was. A sort of energy, maybe...But after he said those words, she rushed over to him and kissed him making him fall against the gates of the monastery, as if on cue fireworks began to fly up to the air.
It was the best kiss that he or she ever had.
She quickly parted away, running away, embarrassed, as if realizing what she had done. But in some twisted mysterious way.....
She didn't regret it.
Not in a million years.
Besides, who knew when they were going to see each other. Hopefully during that time he would find a girl who treated him right, even though the thought made her blood boil. Hopefully he would forget about it.......Now, she was being naive......But nevertheless, it was perfect. He was perfect.
It was truly a wonderful way to say goodbye to a wonderful man.
