i search for love, though young i may be
in every face, i hope to see
a warmth, a care, a gentle touch
the kind i've craved so very much
they tell me love is meant to wait
but my heart doesn't know its fate
i fall for those with wiser eyes
with years behind them, no desguise
it's not just romance that i chase
but something deeper i can't replace
a love that heals, a guiding hand
a comfort i can understand
in older hearts, i hope to find
the motherly love left behind
i seek their arms, their tender care
a bond i never knew was there
i search in them what's missing still
the empty space i long to fill
for though i'm young, my heart is wise
it seeks the love i idealize
not just romance, but something more
a mother's love, an open door
and so i wander, hope in hand
for love i'll someday understand
