𝚃𝚎𝚖𝚎𝚝𝚛𝚒𝚞𝚜 𝙹𝚊𝚖𝚎𝚕 𝙼𝚘𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚝 "𝙹𝚊" 𝟼:𝟹𝟻𝚙𝚖
Ja sat in the auditorium with the rest of the freshmen as he watched the band preform. He thought this whole orientation was going to be boring but hearing the band changed his mind. After the band played everybody clapped as they exited the stage going back to their seats. Leanne walked onto the stage and tapped the mic getting everybody's attention.
"Let's give it up for Murray State University Band!" Leanne smiled, as everybody clapped. "From what Ive heard they've been practicing throughout the summer so great job guys. " She smiled
"Welcome back everyone and for our freshmen Welcome! This year is going to be such a great year! There's a lot of things to do here at our school. This weekend we have a few fun things to do to welcome our freshmens" Leanne said, as the man beside her handed her some papers. "Tomorrow is a college party thrown by our head quarterback Christopher Williams" She said and some of the boys started shouting "YEAHHHH" while others laughed.
"Sunday after schedule pickup here in the auditorium and book check out and other things regarding school we will also have the step team preform outside in the middle of the road around 7pm along with fireworks. We will also offer food and drinks with music while you mingle with your friends. This will end around 10pm giving you guys enough time to get back in your dorms to rest. So that means I don't want to be hearing from the professors that anyone was late to class" Leanne eyed the students.
"I'm going to stop rambling now and Introduce the Murray State University Choir" Leanne smiled and everybody clapped.
"This the boring part" Josiah whispered and Ja chuckled. After the choir proformed the coach of the Football team Carter and Chris the head quarterback walked onto the stage.
"Welcome back fellow classmates and to the freshmens welcome to Murray University college. I am the.." Jai started to tune the football coach out since he wasnt really interested. He was more interested in hearing about the basketball couch than anything. After the cheerleading coach Allison went it was finally time for the Basketball Coach.
"Listen, I know ya'll tired of hearing the words welcome so ima just cut to the chase" Martin, the basketball coach said and everybody chuckled. "Basketball tryouts are October 15th on a Monday at 5:30pm. Make sure you come already dressed in clothes you don't mind playing in. If you are coming from class you're allowed to bring clothes. I hope to see some of you there" Martin smiled, and exited off the stage.
"Alright everyone, that is all. I hope you all enjoyed this Orientation. To cause less distractions, we will dismiss by grade level starting with our freshmens. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day and weekend" Leanne said, and everybody started to clap as she left the stage.
Freshmens started to get up making their way to the door as the upper classmen started to talk. Ja followed Josiah and his friends out the door. Once they were out they stood to the side to wait on Josiah's girlfriend since she wanted to sit with her other friends. Ja didnt mind waiting because he was hoping to see Amaya again.
