Hey everyone, I'm so sorry it took me a while to post this chapter up. I had some difficulties and a health scare that I had to undergo but all is well now but I'm back and I hope you all enjoy this new chapter~

Lorelei braced herself as she descended down the stairs following after Clara, as she filed back in her mind about the family she would be reunited and dining with. There was aunt Karolina, her father, aunt Augusta and her father Bertram and their children Verena and Robertus. Her brother Freidrich was traveling with uncle Godfried, his wife aunt Amalia and their daughter, Emilia "Milly". That meant that only her brother Roland would be present.

She then recalled another family member, "Clara?" She asked her maid.

The young girl turned to her, "Yes Miss Lorelei?"

"Will my aunt Karolina be present? Where is she," Lorelei asked her softly as they passed down a hallway with walls filled with family portraits.

"She often spends dinners and evenings by Master Otto," Clara informed her. Ah, so there would be two people absent from dinner.

Lorelei nodded slowly, "I shall be sure to pay them both a visit later tonight," she murmured.

Clara smiled faintly and nodded, "That will bring some cheer to the Master, Miss Lorelei," she gave her input before stopping at a brown chestnut door carved with designs, pushing it open to reveal the dining room.

It was almost as she remembered it, and large during her family gatherings. Very large and so warm.

The memory of her hiding under the table with her younger brother, playing at hiding from their mother. She remembered how worried their mother had been when she had found them and scolded them because she thought they had run away or gone missing.

Everyoe had been seated with her father at the head of the table, her aunt Augusta on the right side of the table, her husband beside her, her cousin, Verena opposite of them and Robertus at the opposite head of the table

Everyoe had been seated with her father at the head of the table, her aunt Augusta on the right side of the table, her husband beside her, her cousin, Verena opposite of them and Robertus at the opposite head of the table. The seat to the left side of her father was open, and Lorelei assumed was for her.

Andreas looked up and smiled at her, "*Liebchen (Darling), come and sit," he beckoned to her using her old nickname.

The brunette woman smiled and moved to sit, "Good evening everyone," she greeted them scanning their faces.

Her younger brother Roland stood up instantly and threw his arms around her, "Welcome back Lore~" he rubbbed her back.

The rest of the family murmured their greetings to her; Verena being the youngest was happy to have another girl present at least.

Of the siblings, Aunt Karolina was the oldest, then her father, Andreas, and after him Godfried, and aunt Augusta was the youngest. All of them had shared slightly darker hair, the lightest being dark honey blond from grandma Magda. Her father had dark blond hair which was now fading due to age, yet he still had such a handsome and noble face and brow with kind eyes and more lines adorning his face. Godfried looked similar to him but his eyes were sharper and his face more oval like, almost narrow. Augusta had been the fairest and almost blond, a lighter shade of honey blond and sharp green eyes with a diamond shaped face, hard mouth, and curvacious frame, whilst her husband had chestnut brown hair and eyes, with an average height and body. Their children seemed to favor him, though Verena looked much like her mother only with an angelic face and more waif-like, while Robertus had a dark shade of brown hair, and dark hair, and round face, that could appeal to many in a boyish way. When it came to hair coloring, Lorelei had the darkest one in her family, courtesy of her mother, but she had her father's hunter green eyes.
