I grew up not feeling normal I felt wrong like something was missing my mom and dad weren't the air to the throne our aunt was we lived in the city I was best friends with Jake and his Twin brother Tommy I was at the Sully's house hold
"What do you want to do when you get older?" Tom asked me and Jake
"Well, I have always loved animals so maybe be a zoologist. That's a scientist that studies animals." I said with a smile on my he was happy seeing your smile it lit up his and Jake's day
"Well, I'll probably be a marine." Jake said you smiled at him
"I'm sure you're going to be good at it." I said he blushed a light pink
"Thanks Y/n/n." Jake said then playfully nudged me I chuckled the coughed into my elbow "
"Y/n are you okay?" Tom asked
"Yeah, I just needed to clear my throat. That all" I said a few months later I was taken to the hospital cause I wasn't getting an better they did a blood test and found that i had Cancer in my blood "I don't understand. was it something I did?" I asked the doctor with a frown on my face mom sat on my bed
"Honey, it's nothing you did." Mom said
"I know it's overwhelming, but trust me. You are getting the best possible treatment. Now that we know what type of leukemia you have, we're gonna keep you here for a few weeks while you get a high dose of chemo. Unfortunately, it's going to make you feel lousy, but it's also going to kill your leukemia cells." The doctor said
"It's going to be tough, sweetie, but you can do this." Dad said
"The goal is to get you to remission. We'll check your blood daily and eventually we'll... We'll schedule another bone marrow aspiration to monitor you progress." The doctor you looked ahead of you a few days later mom was feeding
"Almost done. Honey." Mom said the added "almost done." I felt nauseous and put the spoon down
"I don't want it." I said
"Honey, just a little more." Mom said
"You have to keep your strength up." Dad said
"I don't feel good." I said mom started rubbing my back
"Should I get someone?" Dad asked mom
"She's okay." Mom said I started to breathe trying to calm down it was a week now I was able to go home mom and dad were walking me to my bed in my room "here you go honey." Mom said
"Take it slow." Dad said I nod
"I'm so happy to see my own bed." I said with a smile "I was starting to hate the hospital." I said I lay down with the covers over me
"Do you need any water? I can make it room temp, cold slightly iced--" mom said
"No, mom I'm good thanks." I said with a smile on my face she was happy to see that smile again "I just want to get some rest." I said mom nods she and Dad left my room I took a small nap then Jake and Tom came to visit "hey guys." I said with a smile
"Y/n/n we were so worried." Tom said
"Yeah when you're mom called ours say that she was taking you to the hospital me and Tom almost had panic attacks." Jake said
"Well, I'm getting better." I said with a raspy tone in my voice with a smile on my face
A few years I got better all the way I was 23 now I got my dream job as a zoologist and got invited to be part of the avatar program with Tom but soon figured out he got shot for the money in his wallet both me and a now cripplized Jake go to the hospital funeral which was watching him get cremated
