I was riding right behind Tsu'tey and Jake was behind me we all get off our direhorses I pet Mul'ey on the neck she nuzzles into my touch you smile hearing all the sounds of whispers and animal calls
"Learning to ride an Ikran, we call them banshees, is a test that every young hunter has to pass." I narrated I touched the ground listening to the soothing voice in my ears
"You have to be careful dear. I don't want you to get hurt." The voice said in Na'vi I nod I felt a hand on my shoulder I turned to see Jake putting his hand on my shoulder
"We have to keep following Tsu'tey." Jake said
"Okay." I said we followed Tsu'tey "but to do that, you gotta go where the banshees are. Oo-rah." I narrated we started climbing up Rocks till we got to the top me and Tsu'tey jumped onto vines followed by Jake and the other young hunters till we got to the top we ran across branches we finally got to the cave and to the opening
"Y/nAlthan will go first." Tsu'tey said I nod Nazirah landing and followed me through the caves system till I was out of the cave all the Ikrans looked at you and got really close to you some didn't let you touch them they were curious and cautious but a blue purple and white one let you touch it and it bow down letting you get on top of her Nazirah looked really shocked at this point
"You must fly to seal the bond. You can not wait." Nazirah said I nod
"Fly straight." I said she glides in the wind she chirped at me I could just see the smile on her face I smiled at her I was enjoying the flight with heri never felt this happy
Jake's POV
I watched all the Ikrans surround Y/n but a ice looking Ikran was the only one who let her touch it she flew
"Jakesully's turn now." Tsu'tey said I gulped and I started walking up to Nazirah
"Now you must chose your Ikran. This you must feel inside. If he also chooses you, move quick like I showed. You will have one chance, Jake." Nazirah said I nod
"How will I know if he chooses me?" I asked
"He will try to kill you." Nazirah said I rolled my eyes
"Outstanding." I said with sarcasm
'why can't it be easy like Y/n?' I thought to myself I walked out of the cave all of them flew away except one that challenged me with a hiss and I hissed back
"Let's dance." I said I jumped on it's back after tying his mouth shut it tried to fly away
"Make the bond." Nazirah yelled I grabbed where his que was to make the bond it head budded me with the back of it's head then threw me off the cliff "Jake!?" Nazirah said worried
"I'm okay." I said I climbed back up onto the cliff I jumped back on to the Ikran back
"Shahaylu, Jake. Shahaylu." Nazirah said I pin the Ikrans head down I finally could do it I made shahaylu with my Ikran it calmed down
"That's right your mine now." I said I let it get up
"First flight seals the bond. You cannot wait. Think fly." Nazirah said
"Fly?" I said with confusion the Ikran took off we flail around "oh, shut up and fly straight." I said he straight and was now gliding Y/n flew right next to me now with a smile on her face I smiled back with a smile "that's right bank left." I said he flew left Y/n following straight behind me
Your POV
I was flying with Jake and his Ikran
"This is the best feeling ever I never felt so connected to anything in my life. Well, except for you and Tom." I said with a smile Jake smile with a blush on his face Nazirah soon joined us I smile at him and he smiled back I sighed with happiness and contentment on me face i heard that voice again
"You did it. I'm so proud of you." The voice said with a tone a proud mother would have over their child I smiled at to myself we flew around for a bit longer
"I love you my Snowflake." I said to my Ikran she chirped with a smile on her face we took a flying break on a cliff of the floating mountains
"I came like this. This you both. Yeah, yeah. I turn. I feel wind. I turn very strong." Nazirah said to me and Jake
"Yeah, I never felt so connected to earth than I am here. The Ikran moves on it's own turning when needed." I said Nazirah looked at me with a smile
"Look, yeah, see, I bank so hard." Jake said I chuckled at the way he said that we go back to flying we were flying in formation I was closest to Tsu'tey Jack flew towards Nazirah Ikran making his fly into my mine push his Ikran away from her by bumped into him chuckling when Nazirah bumped right back into Jake with his Ikran
"Stop." Tsu'tey said in Na'vi
"Sorry." I said in Na'vi me Nazirah and Jake we in a nose dive with our Ikran flying in front of a mountain then we pulled away from the mountains and glide straight ahead I whoot and whoop with a smile on my face me and Jake looked at Nazirah he signed
'this is spirit tree home to all atokirina.' I nod with a smile on my face I felt drawn to it but didn't get to close to it I was staring down onto it as we fly away from it
*In human body*
"The tree of souls. It's their most sacred place. See the flux vortex in these false color images?" Grace said
"Yeah, that's what keeps messing with my instruments." Trudy
"There is something really interesting going on in there biologically. I would die to get samples. Outsiders are strictly forbidden." Grace said then looked at me and Jake "you two are very lucky." Grace said we go back into our avatar body's me Jake and Nazirah flew about the stampeding Titanotherr with our bows and arrows at the ready I got a good shot in before Tsu'tey cold and one of the Titanotherr fell to the ground Dead I admit it hurt a bit but I was able to hide it well
"We were stone-cold aerial hunters. Death for above. Only problem is, your not the only one." I Narrated I looked up and saw two great leonopteryx Jake looked up at the same time
"Dive!" Me and Jake said we we're trying to lose the two great leonopteryx we decided to go into the forest we go into the thin trees our Ikrans hung onto the tree for dear life
"Tamtam Snowflake. Tamtam." I said in a soothing way Snowflake calmed down me Jake and Nazirah looked at each other and we started laughing we got back to home tree
"Our people call it a great leonopteryx." Me and Jake said
"They toruk and Torukina. Last shadows." Nazirah said
"Yeah, right. It's the last two you'll ever see." I said with a smile on my face
"My grandfather's grandfather and grandmother were toruk macto and Torukina macto. Riders of last shadows." Nazirah said
"They rode these." I asked Nazirah nods
"Toruk and Torukina chose them. It has only happened five times since the time of the first songs." Nazirah said looking at us
"That was a long time ago." I said I was holding Atiri feed her a baby formula I burped her and she fell asleep right in my arms
"Yes, turok macto and Torukina macto were mighty. They brought the clans together in a time of great sorrow. All Na'vi people know this story." Nazirah we go to sleep and woke up in our human bodies
"Everything is backwards now. Like out there is the real world and in here's the dream." I Narrated we get out of our link pods I immediately go and get something to eat then put the plates in the sink and then go to my bunk to sleep
