Violet laid in her bed staring at the ceiling. She played the interaction she had with her Timothee over and over again in her head.
Then a statement said by one of her best friends flashed through her head again, "We've seen you in your past relationships. We've seen you in love. This just doesn't feel like that." In the moment they were talking about Micheal and the question her friends asked prior was, "Do you love him."
Thinking about both of those statements and seeing Timothee for the first time in two years allowed her to realize one thing: She never truly loved Micheal as much as she thought she did.
Seeing Timothee again brought her to that realization. Because even after everything, those feelings were still there slightly. Even after all this time. Even after everything he put her through. Even though she wished she didn't.
After all, she loved him more than anything. And even after everything, she knew she'd never love someone again like that.
That thought scared her. Would she ever truly love someone to that extent again? Would she ever find her person? Was it her destiny to never find love because she was still in love with someone who broke her heart.
