Anywayyys, I got an idea for a dystopian, post-apocalyptic word for a Wally AU. I'm planning stuff as a type so bear with me. It'll be based off other types of media including but not limited to; Zero Dawn (Both games, mostly the first one), The Last of Us, Sweet Tooth, and Avatar.
World — Humanity slowly killed themselves off with wars, global warming, and fewer and fewer resources. The final blow came when a horrific virus emerged, █████. People died by the thousands each day, and soon, humans were at the brink of extinction.
A few people found shelter in the loneliest corners of the earth and rebuilt a civilization there. It's been centuries over centuries ago, the earth had healed from all the damage, but now there was a new life. Not entirely human, something different. Mutants they were called, but they were shunned, mistreated, and killed off. Those who were lucky ran away and found home in all sorts of environments. Meanwhile, the humans repeated the cycle for power, the lower classes were treated like dirt, nothing was balanced. This is where the story begins.
Mutants — Mostly humanoid and can make animalistic sounds when disturbed. They look human but have enlarged pupils, pointed ears, barbed tails, blue blood, and bioluminescent markings. The Mutants adapt to their habitat, even being able to grow gills and webbed hands when underwater. Nobody knows where the came from, nor if they were here from the beginning, but whatever it was they're here to stay. Mutants are very intelligent, more than humans. Mutants were usually compared to demons and were sacrificed to show power.
Wally — Wally is a Mutant who grew up being taught that humans are ruthless creatures that should be avoided, or killed if necessary. He's very cynical and aloof, almost sassy in a way. He witnessed his mother being slaughtered by humans, traumatizing him in the process.
Appearance: Grown-out hair braided into a long braid, light blue streaks. Lean body from hunting, fighting, and exercise. Striped markings along his back and neck, freckles. Dull fangs. Several scars throughout his body.
Personality: Loyal, helpful, nurturing, cynical, aloof, bitter, protective, sassy, stubborn, unpredictable, moody.
