He wants to do what?! Um hell no. I do not need Josie running around with a bunch of saggy pants snot offs. Josie must of read my expression because she begins to speak.
"Don't even put your two sense in. You might go bankrupt. You are not joining a gang that is a bad idea."
Josie rolls her eyes, "your always over dramatic Sky! You gotta live alittle."
"Me live? Excuse me but I do by not making stupid decisions like you that risk your life."
"For once live, hey Lex can Sky join to?" Josie asks and my heart freezes in fear. Me join a gang? You gotta be fucking kidding me!
"Well she handled herself pretty well at the fight so I guess so. She would need to show improvement with the next month." Lex says gulping down the rest of the beer in his hand.
"See Sky you can watch out for me. This will be fun." Josie says excitedly. I haven't seen her so excited since well for awhile. I haven't seen such a genuine smile plastered on her face since we were little. I'd be a bitch if I said no but I'd also be stupid to allow her to go with the gang and get herself hurt. I begin walking back and forth arguing with myself. Josie must of notice because she stands up and puts her hand on my shoulder.
"Sky..." She whispers softly, I turn my head forcefully not wanting to meet her eyes. "No one is forcing to do this, but this is something I really want to do. I would love to have you by my side but not if it is going to ruin our friendship in the end." I sink down to my knees, why isn't this choice easy? Like deciding not to do homework... No I'm breaking all my morals just being here already. Josie stalks back and sits next to Lex. My body rises without my permission, my mouth following the same action.
"I'll join."
Josie eyes widen and she squeals in joy, jumping up to clobber me in a bear hug.
"Save the lifetime moment Josie!"
Lex lets out a laugh behind her. His eyes wander to mine and he gives a smirk. "You made the right choice, chic."
"Um excuse me I'm not an animal. My name is Sky. I may not be completely gang material but you don't double cross me. I can and will make anyone's life that gets in my way a living hell." Lex lets out a gulp and it was my turn to smirk.
"I told you this bitch was cool." Josie giggles. We say our goodbyes and head back down to the party. I completely forgot about the dork waiting for me at the stairs for a dance.
"I might of promised to dance with this guy if he got me out of the crowd." I whisper in Josie's ear.
"Sorry I'm not helping you out of this one." Josie smirks and hops the railing and runs off back to the dancing crowd. I make way downstairs this can't be too bad just one dance. He smiles like a little boy when he sees me. I let out a laugh. He grabs my waist pulling me close.
"Let's go dance." He leads me to the dance floor. We follow to the beat of the music. Someone hands me a cup of beer and I sucked it down. It burned my throat but it was good sensation. We continued to dance, drinking every cup we found. I lost track of time and the room spun around me. Eventually, the music stops and everyone is toppling out the doors. The guy grabs my hand and we make our way out with the crowd. The fresh air hits me hard and my head begins pounding. I look around as we begin walking down the lawn. The boy turns me toward him and smashes his lips against mine. I let out a giggle as his hand rest on my hips. Someone taps me on the shoulder but I ignore them, focusing on my kissing session. Someone yanks me back and I fall back on the ground. I watch as the figure slams his fist into the boys face.
