The wind slammed into Y/N's chest, as she sneezed into her arm. Of all genetics, why do I have to have a low tolerance to the cold... She sniffed, picked up her basket of gold wire and carefully placed it in the growing pile of gold.

Everyone was working so hard to help Senku, the entire village looked up at him. Honestly, it was incredible, this would've never happened if all these villagers were from the 2000s, but I guess petrification kinda helped this cruel world.

Chrome and Old Man went off to work on some other invention like 2 days ago, and it was keeping everyone on their toes. Kohaku was especially interested in their contraption, just like how she was towards Senku... 😏 She wouldn't be surprised if they were an item...

Y/N's trail of thought ceased when Chrome and Kaseki jumped out, it seemed like they were glowing with happiness... She watched as they gathered everyone around (including Senku) as the villagers started to hype themselves up to see what they had created.

Suddenly the crowd of people began to move forward following their two inventors towards the river. In all honesty, all Y/N wanted to do right now was to sit down and draw, yet her own curiosity forced her to wonder towards the villagers.

~

A waterwheel. All that hype for nothing. Well it wasn't nothing, and the waterwheel was certainly incredible. I mean to make that without 21st century knowledge? Amazing. But definitely not worth the long walk in the cold. :/

Her hair bounced gracefully on her shoulders as she looked around at the location. It was a nice clearing with the waterwheel in the middle, such a shame I can't capture this moment... The bustling of the people blocked her view, she sighed, if only she could draw. Y/N never thought there was anything wrong with her, maybe only society, but there was nothing she could ever do about it. So why should she sit around and wait? I'm going to do whatever I want. It's not like before, right? I have a will so I'm gonna use it. No more stuffing down my hopes and dreams and whatever. Let's start by drawing this invention.

Y/N shivered as she sat herself down on a rock, her hand drifting towards her pockets, pulling out a stick of lead and a folded piece of paper. She layed it carefully on her lap and began to sketch the waterwheel. Not scientifically, but just as a still-life.

The lead smudged all over her palm, as she etched what her eyes saw, people came and went, carrying materials and objects attaching it to the waterwheel. Y/N kept focused shifting her eyes from real life to paper again and again. It didn't feel as long, hours or minutes passed by without a thought, as Y/N composed her picture.

She looked up for one last time, watching the sun's last rays disappear into the ground. The waterwheel had already turned into a Hydroelectric power plant. Attached to it were all kinds of inventions Y/N hadn't had the chance to see happen.

She sighed, holding up her sketch to her eye-level. It looks pretty awesome for a stone-age drawing... She smiled to herself, I should probably go put this somewhere and go to sleep. Y/N looked around the river, no one was there anymore.

So, she allowed herself to explore.

Lead-acid battery, a rack and pinion and a blast furnace... She ran her hand on the edge of the wood structure. The water splashed freely, spinning the waterwheel as the complex cogs and gears aligned together made working much more efficient.

The leaves crunched behind her as voice rang through the air.

"Enjoying our kingdom so far?"

Y/N turned around to face Senku grinning widely, "Yeah, it's quite a lovely village you have here."
