A Hidden Past

The episode begins with a flashback to Lee’s earlier years. We see a younger Lee, ambitious and determined, making his first big business deal. The scene is filled with tension as Lee negotiates with a powerful and ruthless figure—someone who would later become a significant part of his life, and possibly a source of the current threats.

As the flashback ends, Lee is jolted back to the present by Bee’s voice.Bee: (curious) “Lee, what are you thinking about?”

Lee hesitates for a moment, then decides to share a piece of his past with Bee. He explains how he made his first fortune, but also how that deal led to dangerous associations. He’s kept this part of his life hidden, even from those closest to him, to protect them.

Lee: (serious) “I thought I left that world behind. But it seems like it’s come back to haunt me.”

Bee listens intently, his heart heavy with concern. This is the first time Lee has opened up about his past, and it’s clear that the weight of those memories is still with him.

Bee: (determined) “We’ll face this together, Lee. Whatever it is, we’ll find a way through it.”

Lee is touched by Bee’s unwavering support, and he pulls Bee into a comforting embrace. However, the revelation adds a new layer of complexity to their relationship, as Bee begins to understand the depth of the danger they’re in.

Ming and Tay's Investigation

Meanwhile, Ming and Tay are out in Bangkok, following up on the lead they discovered in the previous episode. They find themselves in a less-than-savory part of the city, tracking down someone who might know the person in the blurry photo from the file.As they walk through the crowded streets, Tay sticks close to Ming, the tension between them palpable. They finally reach a small, run-down café, where their informant is supposed to meet them.The informant, a nervous man in his mid-thirties, arrives and quickly gets down to business. He shows them a clearer photo of the figure who’s been watching Lee’s estate—a man known only as “The Shadow,” a skilled operative with ties to the criminal underworld.

Informant: (whispering) “He’s dangerous. If he’s involved, your friends are in more trouble than you think.”

Ming thanks the informant, slipping him a thick envelope before he and Tay leave the café. As they walk back to the car, Ming is deep in thought, processing the information they’ve just received.

Tay: (worried) “Ming, what does this mean? Who is this ‘Shadow’?”

Ming: (grimly) “He’s someone who can move undetected, strike without warning, and disappear without a trace. If he’s after Lee, we need to be more careful than ever.”

Tay’s face pales at Ming’s words, and he realizes the gravity of the situation. Their bond deepens as they confront the danger together, both feeling the weight of the responsibility they share.

Confronting the Past

Back at the estate, Lee and Bee sit down with Ming and Tay to discuss what they’ve learned. Ming lays out the information, revealing what they know about The Shadow and his possible connections to Lee’s past.

Bee listens intently, his worry growing as the pieces start to fit together. Lee’s past is coming back to threaten their present, and Bee feels a new determination to stand by Lee, no matter what.

Bee: (resolute) “We can’t just wait for them to come to us. We need to find this Shadow and stop him before he can do any more harm.”

Lee nods in agreement, but there’s a tension in his expression. He knows that facing The Shadow might mean confronting parts of his past that he’s tried to leave behind.

Lee: (firmly) “We’ll do whatever it takes. But Bee, you need to be careful. This man is dangerous, and I can’t lose you.”

Bee reaches out and takes Lee’s hand, his voice steady despite the fear in his eyes.

Bee: “I’m not going anywhere, Lee. We’re in this together.”

Ming and Tay exchange a glance, their own feelings mirrored in the main couple’s resolve. They’re all in this together, and they’ll face whatever comes as a team.

The Shadow Strikes

Later that night, as the estate falls quiet, an ominous presence lurks in the shadows. The camera follows a dark figure moving silently through the grounds—The Shadow has arrived.

Inside the house, Bee is restless, unable to sleep after the intense discussions earlier. He decides to go to the kitchen for a glass of water, unaware of the danger that’s closing in.

As Bee walks through the darkened hallways, The Shadow watches him from the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The tension builds as Bee approaches the kitchen, oblivious to the threat.

Just as The Shadow is about to make his move, Lee appears at the end of the hallway, calling out to Bee. Startled, The Shadow retreats into the darkness, disappearing as quickly as he came.

Bee turns to Lee, a smile on his face.

Bee: (softly) “Couldn’t sleep either?”

Lee shakes his head, walking over to Bee and pulling him into a protective embrace.

Lee: “I just wanted to make sure you were okay.”

Unaware of the close call, Bee relaxes in Lee’s arms, feeling safe and secure. But the camera lingers on the empty hallway, a silent reminder that the danger is still very real.
