**Sehun - Confronting the Void**

Sehun’s steps were heavy as he walked away from the party, his mind clouded with anger, guilt, and confusion. Chanyeol’s words echoed in his head, stoking the fire of his frustration. He wanted to ignore the gnawing emptiness inside him, but it was impossible to shake off.

He needed to clear his mind, to convince himself that what he had done was right. But as he wandered the quiet streets, the emptiness only grew, consuming him with every step.

“Why do I care?” Sehun muttered to himself, running a hand through his blonde hair. He tried to push away the memory of Jungkook’s tear-streaked face, the pain in his eyes when Sehun had rejected him. “I did what I had to do. I’m an Alpha… I’m in control.”

But despite his best efforts, Sehun couldn’t ignore the hollow ache in his chest. It wasn’t just guilt—it was something deeper, something more profound that he didn’t want to acknowledge. He had rejected Jungkook, broken the bond between them, but in doing so, he had also broken a part of himself.

As Sehun walked, lost in his thoughts, he found himself near the edge of the park, where he saw two figures sitting on a bench. One was comforting the other, and it didn’t take long for Sehun to recognize them.

Jungkook and Mingyu.

Sehun’s breath caught in his throat as he saw Jungkook curled up against Mingyu, looking so small and fragile. The sight stirred something in Sehun—a mix of jealousy, protectiveness, and something he didn’t want to name. He clenched his fists, his emotions swirling in a chaotic storm.

He couldn’t look away, even as a voice in his head told him to turn around and leave. But instead, he found himself rooted to the spot, watching from the shadows as Mingyu gently wiped the tears from Jungkook’s cheeks.

“This is for the best,” Sehun told himself, though his voice lacked conviction. He should be glad that Jungkook had someone to comfort him, someone to take care of him. But instead, a sharp pang of something akin to envy stabbed at his heart.

Why did it bother him so much to see Jungkook with someone else?

**Mingyu - A Moment of Calm**

Mingyu continued to hold Jungkook, trying to offer as much comfort as he could. He knew that no words could truly ease the pain Jungkook was feeling, but he was determined to be there for his friend, no matter what.

“It’s going to be okay,” Mingyu whispered, his voice soft and soothing. “You’re going to get through this, Jungkook. You’re stronger than you think.”

Jungkook sniffled, wiping his eyes with the back of his hand. “I don’t know if I can. It hurts so much, Mingyu.”

“I know,” Mingyu said, his heart aching for Jungkook. “But you’re not alone. You have me, and you have others who care about you. We’ll get through this together.”

Jungkook managed a small nod, though his expression remained one of deep sadness. “Thank you, Mingyu. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

Mingyu smiled gently, brushing a strand of Jungkook’s hair away from his forehead. “You don’t have to worry about that. I’m not going anywhere.”

As they sat there, a comforting silence settled between them, and for the first time since the rejection, Jungkook felt a small measure of peace. He wasn’t okay—not yet—but with Mingyu by his side, he felt like maybe, someday, he could be.

But that fragile peace was shattered when Jungkook’s phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out with trembling hands, seeing a message from Chanyeol.
