Yello, I'm back after a long-needed break. It feels good to be writing again. I've decided to continue this writing stuff and see where it takes me. Sorry for disappearing for half a year but I would like to say that I've got a bunch of ideas in the back of my head. So for the first couple of months, I'll be pumping out short stories to get back into my flow. Then I'll probably be doing longer stories and potentially continuing Paper Boy. I know no one will read this because I'm publishing it in the backwaters of FanFiction so this is my silent return :)

Light poked through the ruin's stone canopy, breathing colour into its many decrepit floors. There was no blazing sun peeking over the horizon, no pale sky looking down from above, just endless corridors and hallways lit solely by the sun's unseen form. The limited light that made its way through the eternal ruins always seemed to harbour little pockets of life. From the fishes that swam under the sun's radiance to the lizards that basked below its ethereal rays, all manner of being found solace in the sun's glowing embrace. However, some places never had the chance to witness such miracles.
Far beyond where the light ventured, dozens of stone statues were forgotten and laid to rest amidst the broken stone architecture of the ruins. These relics of the past vaguely resembled humans. Faces sculpted into soft curves and shapes with intricate details etched onto their heads. Their forms were wrapped in stone coats; tiny hands outstretched as they grasped simple wooden bowls. Blankets of moss shrouded them from the cold as they waited quietly in the darkness.
Amidst the slumbering statues, a single ball of light began to emit from a statue's bowl. The light illuminated the stone walls as a blinding light enveloped the statue. Fragments of stone broke off with a loud crack as the orb of light simmered to a faint glow. A little human girl stood atop the remnants of the collapsed statue, arms outstretched as she held the wooden bowl. The light soon faded as darkness once again enshrouded the room. The empty bowl fell as a soft clatter echoed throughout the darkness. The girl stumbled aimlessly in the shadows, alone and without any light to guide her. Bare feet cautiously stepped on shattered tiles as something soft brushed against her foot. Feeling the silky fabric against her skin, she reached down, wrapping the oversized cloak around herself.

I would highly recommend looking at his videos, they're a joy to watch and well-made. I've barely scratched the surface of his world in this short story so be sure to check out his channel. Thanks for reading this and reaching the end, hope you have a good day or continue having one :)
