I took a deep breath before I stood up from the mattress on the ground. To be honest I dreaded every moment of this punishment, but the only way out of it would be through it.
My hair had slowly dried, but the ends had managed to awkwardly stick out because of the cold temperature.
"Just a few hours" I told myself as my hand placed itself on my hungry stomach. I hadn't eaten since the morning and it didn't look like there would come anything out of the kitchen soon.
Carefully my head stuck out of the cell room, falling on the blind man who was snoring. Somewhere I was relieved he was sleeping before my head turned to the other side. My eyes slightly widened, my heart skipped a beat as I lowered my vision to the ground.
I never looked a man in the eyes, especially when he could beat my ass in less then a second. But still his sapphire blue eyes were so rich in color that it would take anyone's breath away.
"Let's hope you can obey" I could hear him say almost amused like he was playing a game.
Confused, my head lifted, staring just a fraction of a second to his face. It was enough to notice how most of his small wounds had already healed and enough to see how a cocky smirk had formed on his lips.
"Maybe this man is crazy?" I questioned his sanity.
I didn't say anything back. I simply didn't dare to, like the man had some kind of power to get me through the bars that held him in his cell.
"I need to work" I awkwardly answered like I needed to give this man an explanation to leave the dungeon.
Nervously my lips licked my dry lips, before I gave a firm nod and started walking. Relieve was the first thing I felt as I could hear my shoes echo through the room, knowing I would escape his gaze in just getting up the stairs.
As fast as I could my sools tapped the steps until I reached the top of the stairs. The wooden door was closed like it always was, and still it felt like a protective barrière.
"Calm down" I softly spoke to myself and polished my face back in a straight expression.
Of Course I had not forgotten the guard, making his unusually rude suggestion to mate in the dungeon, and besides that he would probably still be out there.
For the first time in my life I pressed the handle quickly down, skipped through the door and rushed towards the stairs. I could feel how my legs quickly rushed up the stairs as soon as I could hear his laugh.
He gave me the creeps. I was not going to lie about that, no he simply gave me the idea he was capable of following up his words.
I felt relieved as soon as I managed to make it to the second floor, knowing most wolves would be off from their duty by now. So it would be simply me and Gretchen.
"Well at least until she had showed me the work" I said to myself knowing she would probably leave me behind as soon as she could.
Quietly I rushed towards the public bathroom and knocked like a moron on the door.
"Come in" I could hear a woman's voice say like she was questioning herself if she needed to answer my stupid knock.
"You must be Avyanna?" I could hear her ask as her voice actually sounded pretty kind and welcoming.
For a moment my eyes fell on a dark haired, slim build woman with a bright welcoming smile. Her big and bright eyes were blue with a hint of green as she was really a stunning young woman.
"I am ma'am" I softly spoke as I could feel my insecure creep up from my lower stomach towards my shoulders.
"The alpha gave you the duty to clean this bathroom" she simply stated while she looked around for no reason. Still the way she flips her hair over her shoulder, gave me a quick reveal of her mates mark.
