I squeezed my eyes shut tightly, but it couldn't block out the radiant light coming from the ever-expanding orb. The world became brighter and brighter until it felt like it was so bright to the point that the light felt like darkness.

Eventually, the light came to a stop, and I opened my eyes slowly, blinking once, and twice, adjusting to the light. Miku was still next to me, and I sighed in relief, before suddenly realizing that something felt a bit different.

Now that my eyes were adjusted, I looked around and realized that our surroundings changed completely! Not only that... Miku looked a bit different... Did her clothes change too...?!

"Teto... Where are we." Miku looked at me, a weak smile on her face. I shake my head. "I'm not sure either. I told you not to touch that orb..."

Miku pouts apologetically, and whines. "It's not my fault that circley thingy was so cool! It was all pulsy and-" I glare at her as she waves her hands around, describing the orb, and she quickly looks down again. "Sorry..."

"Anyways, this place is kinda weird." I look around again and see that the sky is bright blue, almost like Miku's hair, and it's dotted with cartoonish-looking clouds. The grass-looking floor beneath our feet is also excessively green, kind of like a green screen's green. "It almost looks like some sort of kid's cartoon..."

Miku nods as she looks around too before suddenly exclaiming, "Hey look, Teto, your clothes changed! Woah, your hat has a little smiley face on it too! It's so cute...!" She reaches out to take a closer look at the hat, and I take a step back. "You know your clothes changed too, right?"

The blue-haired girl pauses midway and looks down at herself. "Yeah, you're right! Look I'm even wearing roller skates now!" She takes a couple of strides, showing off her new shoes, her pigtails waving. "Wow, this place is kinda cool..."

"Don't get distracted now," I say, remembering why we're here in the first place. "We were supposed to be finding every one, and now we ended up in a completely different place."

For a moment, Miku just stares at me, before suddenly realizing. "Oh yeahhhhhh, we were going to do that! Maybe they're here too!" She skates off, and I quickly follow. "Hey wait!"

I run off after Miku and quickly catch up. "You can't just run off like that, we don't know what might be in this... world..." I look around nervously while still walking alongside Miku who is walking slightly slower now.

"Yeah yeah, but you have to agree this place is cool! It almost feels nostalgic in a way!" She does a little spin, looking around at our surroundings. "You have to agree it's kinda cute... Look at the clouds!"

I sigh, trying to keep Miku on track. "I get it, I get it. But our important mission is to find everyone, right?" I pull her back before she wanders too far, and she sighs and nods. "Okay, Miss Teto..."

A tired smile appears on my face as she says that, and I pull her along as we keep on walking. "Do you think we're gonna find anyone?"

"I have a feeling we will!" Miku keeps on bounding along, strolling around the new place with energy. I sigh, her energy tiring me out. "Yeah, yeah... Don't get too sidetracked..."

We walk for another 15 minutes with Miku pointing things out along the way, until we spot someone in the distance. Miku squeals as she points. "See I told you we would find someone!"

"Be careful though... We don't know who that is..." I watch as she practically jumps along to where the figure was. I eventually approach the person too along with Miku, and it appears to be a person with a singular yellow pigtail on the side...

"N...eru?" I looked at the familiar Fanloid, but her clothes were different. Instead, she was wearing some short puffy pants with a white shirt and a yellow striped vest on top, topped off with a black tie. "Are you trapped here too?"

"What are you talking about?" Neru looks at me. "I was always here." That's weird, I was just talking to Neru yesterday in the normal vocal synth world... Maybe this is a different version of Neru...

Miku smiles, waving at Neru. "You're that yellow one! The Fanloid when I was blocked of the Internet! Haven't talked to you in a while! Hello!" I get overwhelmed by Miku's fast stream of words. "Chill Miku..."

"But we found someone!" She pouts and then lights up again. "Oh! Maybe Neru knows where everyone else is and how to get back!"

I reluctantly agree that Miku might be right. "Well, I suppose... Neru, have you seen anyone else?"

Neru shakes her head, her yellow pigtail shaking. "Dunno. Saw another two yellow ones a while ago... And another orange one..." She pauses, before speaking again. "The orange one was weird... Almost like she was devoid of anything..."

I exchange glances with Miku and whisper, "So there are other people here...!" Miku nods eagerly turns to face Neru, and continues pressing on. "Do you remember their names?"

Once again, Neru shakes her head. "No..." She then turns around and proceeds to ignore us. Classic Neru...

I look at Miku once again, trying to signal her that we have basically gotten the information that we can so far. Miku stares at me for a moment before getting what I meant. "We'll be heading off! Bye Neru!" Miku waves goodbye to Neru and we only get a huff in return. Miku pouts, but quickly drags me off. "Let's go find everyone else!"
