Shouto still did not like the League of Villains.

He, once again, stood against a wall, however, this time Touya stayed close to him. It reassured him. Touya literally radiated heat, so Shouto could feel him by his side. Call him a baby but he felt untouchable with his big brother near him. More than a bodyguard, Touya acted like a hero in his eyes. If All Might could maintain peace in Japan, Touya could maintain safety in Shouto's life.

"So, why is the troupe gathered?" Mister Compress asked from the bar where he sat, stimming with a duo of marbles in his hand.

Toga commented how she thought they were a league and not a troupe. Shigaraki got up and - oh god that hand was truly disgusting. Anyway, Shigaraki got up and stood before everyone while scratching his neck.

"UA's organizing a training camp for the first-year students. We're gonna sabotage it."

Oh shit.

"What do you mean by sabotage?" Magne asked, she was frowning.

"We're gonna kidnap one of the students, and make him join our ranks."

Oh shit.

This project seemed... fanciful, to say the least. Not that Shouto wouldn't love a good old corruption story to show how flawed the system was, but seriously? Maybe a hero student could become a villain, why not. Here, the kidnapping aspect didn't sit right. No one would willingly join a group that had kidnapped them. So unless said kidnapping was staged (it didn't sound like it was) or the kidnapped had an extremely weak mental health, it would be hard to succeed.

"Are we sure about that? 'Cause I doubt a UA student's just gonna become a villain outta the blue." Apparently, Touya had the same thought process as Shouto.

Shigaraki ignored Spinner's questioning about whether or not Stain would approve of this and answered: "He will. He's like us."

Touya raised an eyebrow, Shouto unknowingly did the same behind his mask.

"Who even is it?" He asked.

Shouto had watched the Sports Festival this year even though he hadn't since he had left with Touya. It was mostly out of curiosity and to have some background noise in the apartment. With each year that passed the kids were becoming even more overpowered. He tried to refresh his memories but he couldn't remember seeing someone that had the potential to become a villain. Unless...

Instead of simply giving a name, Shigaraki took a printed photograph from where it rested on the bar. He held it next to his head with two fingers. The picture in itself wasn't top quality — surely a screenshot taken quickly from whichever channel had streamed the event — still Shouto could decipher what it showed. A teen his age with a UA sports uniform was tied up thanks to cuffs restraining his arms and locking his entire hands, without forgetting the rough muzzle forbidding him to scream. Shouto remembered this. After it was announced that the other finalist had withdrawn because of a 'family emergency', the now-proclaimed winner had thrown a tantrum. He was too proud to accept a victory he hadn't fought tooth and nail for. As a result, U.A. had concluded the best response was chaining him and forcing him to accept the medal.

"Poor kid..." Mister Compress breathed out behind his mask.

The 'winner' didn't look at the camera, it didn't stop Shouto from staring into his soul. Maybe it was the firing eyes, or the spiky blond hair, or the frown pronounced enough that this idiot would have the lion's wrinkle by the time he turns twenty. Anyway, something told Shouto that this plan wouldn't work. Sure, poor kid, everyone would hate being restrained by literal pro-heroes on national television, whatever. Yet, Shouto knew that look, he knew the fierce determination that would blow anything on its way, the kind that couldn't be destroyed nor altered.
