I would look out into the woods fully aware there was something out there. Even if I tried to look away I couldn't something held me there gazing into the woods where evil lived and breathed. Thats when I heard it. The growl that shook me to my bones. The noise scared me so much I didn't realize I could move again. Just as my heart rate was picking up I saw the shadow emerging from the woods directly in front of me. The shadow was as big as a horse and looked like a wolf. When I saw its eyes glimmer a familiar silver I screamed. Once my screamed died down I heard some one calling my name in the distance.

"Rain! Wake up!" As I gasped sitting up she realized it was just another nightmare."God Rain are you okay?" I couldn't speak so I nodded covered in sticky sweat."It was only a nightmare hun it's okay." Realizing who was talking to me, I took a few calming breathes looking over to my best friend and roommate.

"T-Thanks, Misty.." I choked out.

"Anytime Dash." Misty sighed in relief.

"S-Sorry..'bout the night terrors..." Ashamed I would look down at my hands and fold them together in an attempt to stop the shaking.

"Hey I knew what I was getting in to when I asked you to move in. I understand." Misty placed her hand on mine."Go jump in the shower I'll make breakfast 'kay?" I nodded in reply and stood up cautiously my body trembling. Once Misty saw that I was okay she walked out of my room and closed the door. I sighed and walked into the en suite stripping off my sweaty pj's and turning the water on. Once I got under the water the tears started flowing and down the drain they went.

Once I was fully dressed and collected I headed for my bedroom door. As soon as I opened it I smelled the aroma of food and my stomach growled hungrily. My nose lead the way to the kitchen where Misty had made us some delicious looking food. I scan over the choices and smile. My favorites Bacon, Toast, Poached eggs, and gravy with sausages. Grabbing a little of everything I moved to the table to see Misty and her love interest Ash sitting at the table smiling at each other. I smile and chuckle lowly so they don't hear me and then I loudly clear my throat making them both look at me blushing. I giggle as I sit in front of them they both glare at me. "Thanks for breakfast, Misty." I say while looking at my food hiding the all knowing smile on my face.

"N-No problem Rain." Misty grinds out blushing sending me a glare.

"Yeah its fantastic Misty." Ash adds in trying to deflect the tension.

"Thanks, Ash." She blushes more looking down at her food. After that I ate in silence as Misty and Ash chat absentmindedly. Once I finished I looked up at them and smiled standing and grabbing my bag. That's when Misty looks up at me and smile the blush gone from her cheeks."Headed off to school already?"

"Yep gotta Dash!" I reply make her chuckle at our inside joke.

"Okay be safe and avoid the forest, Rain." She tells me pleadingly.

"I will I promise." I tell her hugging and sticking my pinky out for her."Pinky promise." She then curls her pinky with mine.

"Okay, bye Rain." With her blessings out of the way I walk out of the apartment and into the buzzing city. Once I closed the door I took a deep breath and headed to the subway, off to the first day of my senior year in a new school and city.
