Chapter 48: The First Word

It had been a few peaceful months since they had welcomed their second child into the world. After everything they'd been through, Lisa and Jungkook decided to keep the birth of their second baby private. They wanted to savor these first few months as a family without the public eye on them. And it had worked. Life had fallen into a comfortable rhythm, filled with the joy and chaos of raising two young children.

One sunny afternoon, Lisa was lounging on the living room floor, watching Seol play with his favorite toys. The house was unusually quiet, with Jungkook in the kitchen making snacks and their newborn peacefully asleep in her bassinet nearby.

Lisa had her phone out, capturing a few shots of Seol stacking blocks, when something incredible happened. Seol, with his big curious eyes, turned to his baby sister and pointed. His lips parted, and with a determined little voice, he said, "Ba...by."

Lisa's heart nearly stopped. Her son's first word! She had to make sure she heard it right. "Seol, what did you just say?" she asked, leaning closer to him.

Seol giggled, pointing again at the bassinet. "Baby!"

Lisa gasped, her excitement spilling over as she quickly hit the record button on her phone. "Oh my God, Seol-ah! Your first word!" She couldn't believe she had captured it on camera.

"Kookie!" she shouted, scrambling to her feet. "Come here! You have to see this!"

Jungkook rushed in, his apron still tied around his waist, holding a spatula in his hand. "What? What's going on?" he asked, looking concerned.

Lisa, practically bouncing with excitement, thrust her phone into his hands. "Seol said his first word! Watch this!"

Jungkook watched the video, his eyes widening as he heard Seol say "baby" with such clarity. A proud grin spread across his face. "No way! Our little guy is growing up too fast!"

Lisa beamed, looking down at Seol, who was still babbling happily to himself. "He's such a sweetheart. And we got it on camera! I think I should post this. I'm gonna tag you."

Jungkook nodded, wrapping his arm around her. "Go ahead, babe. The world deserves to see how amazing our boy is."

With a giddy smile, Lisa posted the video on her social media, captioning it, "Seol's first word!"

The post blew up within minutes, with fans and friends flooding the comments with love and congratulations. But then, as they scrolled through the comments together, Lisa noticed something unexpected.

"Wait... did they have another baby?"

"Is that a little sister in the background?!"

"OMG, they had a second baby! Congratulations, Lisa and Jungkook!"

Lisa blinked at the screen, then looked at Jungkook with wide eyes. "Uh... Kook... did we just accidentally reveal our secret?"

Jungkook chuckled, scrolling through the comments. "Looks like we did. Well, I guess the cat's out of the bag now."

Lisa sighed, half-laughing. "Oops."

Jungkook pulled her into a hug, kissing her temple. "Honestly, it's fine. Now we don't have to tiptoe around it anymore."

Just then, Seol toddled over to them, tugging on Jungkook's pant leg. "Baby!" he repeated, pointing at his sister again.

Jungkook crouched down, scooping Seol up into his arms. "That's right, little man. You've got a baby sister. And you're already the best big brother."

Lisa smiled, feeling her heart swell with love. As chaotic as their lives were, moments like these made everything worth it.

Suddenly, Jungkook's phone started buzzing in his pocket. He glanced at the screen and let out a laugh. "Oh man, everyone's texting me! I bet they all saw the post. Should I call them?"

Lisa laughed. "Go for it. I'm sure they're dying to talk to you."

Jungkook grinned, pulling out his phone and dialing Jin's number first. "Hyung! Guess what? Seol said his first word... and yes, it was 'baby.' Also... we kinda accidentally announced it."

Jin's voice boomed through the speaker, loud enough for Lisa to hear. "What?! His first words aren't 'Uncle Jin'?! I'm offended! You owe me food!"

Jungkook laughed. "Yeah, yeah. Come over sometime, and I'll make it up to you. But seriously, isn't Seol amazing?"

Jin continued to tease him for a few minutes, but in the end, he congratulated them and promised to visit soon.

Next, Jungkook called Taehyung, who squealed with excitement when he heard the news. "I knew it! Seol is a brilliant boy, just like me!"

Each call was filled with laughter and love as their friends shared in their joy. Even Yoongi, who was usually so reserved, couldn't help but crack a smile when he heard Seol's first word.

After the calls, Jungkook looked at Lisa, a soft smile on his face. "We've got a pretty amazing family, don't we?"

Lisa nodded, leaning her head on his shoulder. "Yeah,"

That night, after they had put both of their kids to bed, Jungkook pulled Lisa close as they sat on the couch. "You know, today was pretty special."

Lisa smiled, resting her head on his chest. "It was."

Jungkook chuckled softly, his fingers running through her hair. "And just think... our little boy is already talking."

Lisa laughed. "Who knew his first word could cause so much chaos?"

Jungkook kissed the top of her head. "Good chaos, though. I wouldn't trade it for anything."
