Born from a Boom Box

The Pirates ended up finding a French Restaurant of 4.7 stars.It didn't seem too bad.The whole crew walks in the restaurant and stop by a mini counter where we ask for reservations.

"We would like a mega table for..17 people,please" Luke asks the man standing at the counter.
"I'm sorry sir,but the number of people you have invited is larger then our restaurant's limit" the man explains.

Luke then passes the man a 50.00$ bill and says "Find us a table for 17,please.Or you'll loose the extra."
"Right at your service,please follow me."

We all pat Luke's shoulder and follow the man to our table.Everyone in the restaurant were dressed formally.The Pirates were mostly dressed in sweats or shorts and simple baggy t-shirts.We didn't feel embarrassed at all,we were representing the House of Pirates.

"Your orders will be taken in a few minutes.Please stay seated and stand up only when needed." the man says and leaves us by the table.

"Please stay seated at all times as you eat your delicious meal,bonne apétit!" Moose mimics

We all laugh and wait for the waiters.After a few minutes of waiting,a woman walks to us and takes our orders.We all pick out a 4 lobster salads,2 chilled oysters,2 smoked paprika cured Hamachi,3 Scottish Langoustines,2 sea scallops,and lastly 4 Squash Ravioli.

"Your meal will be served in a few." The woman says nicely.

Luke takes out his phone from his pocket and dials a number.He then put the phone in speaker and placed it in the centre of the table.We heard a few rings and finally the person answers

"Yo,what up?" The voice sounds like Jacob's
"Ayy Jacob!" We all greet him.
"Heyy whe.." He says but Luke interrupts
"Yo we got bad news.."
"What is it?" Jacob asks
"We've only got more then a hundred bro." he says disappointingly
"Aww man,what are we gonna do?" He asks with a sad tone in his voice.
"Abby,why don't you tell him what we can do about this." Luke asks looking at me.
"Uhh..What about the World Jam?" I ask him
"...Hahaa,who else agrees with this?!" He asks seriously.
"We all agreed,man! Come on,we could pay for all 5 rents." Moose says through the phone.

He stayed silent for a bit then finally says ;

"You guys better get ready,then.." He says and everyone cheers loudly,grabbing everyone's attention.
"Okay see ya later." Luke says hanging up the phone.

Our meal took long to get ready and some of us got bored.We then started talking about the World Jam.We watched a few dance performances from our competitors on Moose's phone.

"You think we can manage to take them down?" Anala asks us all.
"I don't know,but we must be prepared." Andie says
"When's the first round gonna be?" Cable asks
"This Tuesday at 8pm"
"That means we have ourselves 2 days of practice"

I start to worry about myself.If we're gonna practice today,then we will practice another day ;which is tomorrow.And tomorrow i have school.Hopefully I don't miss rehearsals tomorrow.

Our meals were finally served and I began to eat my Squash Ravioli.The food here was so delicious we even shared our food to each other.The people at the restaurant kept giving us dirty looks and all we did was raise our glasses and said "Bonne Apétit!"

Once we finished our meals,we asked for the paycheque.

The man hands Luke the paycheque and walks away,but the Santiagos takes it away from him instead.They read the cheque their eyes were wide open.

"Here you can take it back__" Marcos says passing the cheque back at Luke,sits up and tries to leave but we all stop him and sit him back down in his seat.

"Holy shit.." Luke says relieved. "...We need 300.00$"

We all stood in our seats shocked.

"Guys guys! Code 19,lets go" Jenny says quietly.
"Code 19?" I ask
"It's an escape routine,just follow my lead

Everyone places the masks over their faces and the girls sat up and scatters around the restaurant,making loud noises.Jenny is banging on a couple random tables,Missy clinking a bunch of spoons and forks together and Anala starts busting out some random dance moves along with Fly.Legz,Hair and Jason stood up and headed in the kitchen,yelling complaints about how they have been "waiting" for too long.This way,everyone who worked for the restaurant has gotten distracted.Moose grabbed my hand then we all stood up and sneaked out the exit.I looked back through the kitchen window and see that the boys have escaped from the exit in the kitchen.The employes who tried to stop the girls,looked back and saw us escaping.They then looked back at the girls and noticed that they have escaped.

We were then running.Running away from the trouble that was after us.We ran towards the side of the restaurant and met up with our boys.We then went running by the front of the restaurant and met up with the ladies.We all ran away from the restaurant and back at the vault.

"What the hell happened to you guys?!" Jacob asks as we enter the vault.
"Code 19.." Jason says panting.

My legs were so tired from all that running that I fell on the ground,breathing heavily.Everyone else has laid themselves on the couch,some even on the floor by my side.

"Are they still after you guys?!" Jacob asks
"No,they couldn't keep up.." I tell him breathing loudly.
"Come on,get up! Stop being so dramatic!" Jacob says pulling Andie up. "We need to rehears,showtime is in 2 days.Lets go let's go!"

Everyone starts complaining and tries to sit themselves up.I try standing up,but come crashing down on the floor again.I can't feel my legs anymore.

"You look awful" I hear Moose say jokingly.He walks to me and reaches his hand out for me to grip.

I reach for his hand,he then puts my arm around his shoulders and walks me to the elevator.Most of us has managed to make it to the elevator.The rest were still struggling to get up by themselves.We all appeared so awfully tired.But we must make an effort ;World Jam is about to start in a few days.

We finally make it to the boombox room and Moose sets me down on the floor next to the boomboxes.

"You okay?" He asks me as he sits next to me.
"Yea..I guess" I say and he laughs.

Once everyone was gathered in the boombox room,still looking exhausted,Luke starts telling us about the World Jam.

"I just made a phone call with the director of the World Jam battle and they registered us in.They say there are 3 rounds in this battle and we'll be competing with the House of Redhooks on the first round.." he pauses and claps his hands,grabbing our attention "Hey guys! Can't you see we have a battle in only 2 days?! We don't have much time,now get up and start dancing!" He yells at us

My breathing starts to come back to normal and I manage to keep myself under control.We then began to dance.

Rehearsals were finally finished and I felt pretty confident about this battle.We were all ready.But we're gonna have to rehears again tomorrow to prepare ourselves for the first round.

I start packing my bag and getting ready to leave the vault.I need to come back home and go to school early again tomorrow.I leave the vault at last with everyone else watching me.

"See you tomorrow?" Moose asks me before I left for my dorm
"See you tomorrow." I tell him with a smile.
"Byee señorita!" The Santiagos say
"We'll see you again tomorrow!"
"Don't be late! We gotta be prepared!"
"Don't forget about us! Bye!!"

I wave back at them with a smile on my face and I catch my bus to NYU.
