Chapter 1

lexi's pov

"and i'll see you guys in the next video bye!" i ended with a wave.

once i stopped recording i sighed heavily in fatigueness. the video i had so desperately wanted to finish had finally came to an end and i felt relieved but stressed at the same time.

but it didn't end there. there were some editing left to do. so my schedule for this week was quite busy and with all the work i had to do, the video would probably be posted in the next 2-3 weeks.

my throat felt dry so i strolled over to my fridge, grabbing a water bottle and chugging it down.

once that was finished, i disposed of it.

i stood in the middle of the room not knowing where to go or what to do from here.

after a brief contemplation, i settled for a break, where i would watch an episode of my favourite show, the lord of the rings.

i was the slightest bit of interested because i was tired, but halfway into the episode, my phone vibrated and it caught my attention for some reason.

i sat up straight on the couch, folding my legs.

i picked it up, reading the name that popped up.

it was brent.

i tapped on his message, where it opened and my eyes scanned the words.

brent - party at mines at 8, you coming?

i contemplated for a bit, was a party what i needed right now. i mean it would do me some good to take my mind off of my busy schedule by means of a party that will provide some sort of much-needed relief.

but a party wasn't really my thing.

my fingers hovered over the keyboard as I thought of an answer. after what felt like hours, i had arrived at an answer.

i took my time typing my reply, pressing send when i was finished.

me: yeah sure, i'll be there. see you at 8

i turned my phone off after checking the time to see that it was 7:28, then setting it down beside me on the couch.

i sighed for what felt like the umpteenth time since the day had started before groggily leaving the couch to go get myself ready for the party.

after my shower, i rummaged through my closet with various clothes, so many choices to choose from but i couldn't find an outfit that i liked.

i huffed in frustration before searching again when i eventually found something to wear.
