Prologue

Kingdoms fall and kingdoms rise, it's about power , it has always been like that since the beginning of time.
The most powerful, wise and strong nations have been built and have been growing, and for centuries they have preserved the Peace between each other, despite the differences.

But there is two kingdoms that are above the others.

The first Kingdom is called "Freeland "is lead by the king Jefferson Pierce ll, a strong and fair king who's main purpose is to keep his kingdom safe and to help it to be prosper, he has been blessed with an unusual gift, the power of lightning.
Him and his family use it for the protection of his people, humans and "metahumans".

The second Kingdom is called Gotham and is lead by king Bruce Wayne , also a very powerful king not for a specific power, but for his intelligence and strategies, he protects his people from metahumans or people who want to cause chaos and suffering. it is believed that these people with special powers like to use them against the weak, thats why king Bruce exiled all the metahumans from his Kingdom in order to protect his people and his family .

Gotham's most important rulers are the  king Bruce Wayne, along with his Queen Talia Al ghul, and three knights  Richard Grayson, Jason Todd and Timothy Drake, who were rescued and adopted by bruce after their parents were killed by metahumans.
The heir of the throne is the monarch's biological son, Damian wayne a young man who has been taught by the queen herself the importance of his heritage and to rule with justice and along with his father's training he has become one of the most skilled warriors in the world.

In king Jefferson's nation Marinette Dupain Cheng a knight called ladybug lives between metahumans, even though she possess the power of creation and good luck her powers come from magical jewels called miraculous. Along with her friends and allies , Rena Rouge, carapace and queen bee. She has dedicated her life to serve and protect King Jefferson's nation and ideals.

Both kingdoms are in constant disagreement mostly because of the banning of metahumans in Bruce's kingdom but overall everything is fine....

for now.

In the darkness of the caves far away from civilization there's someone who is desperate for chaos, using people as his puppets, enjoying their suffering and using them as his eyes and ears, hawkmoth, a powerful "wizard " that wants to take down not only both kingdoms he plans to destroy anyone else who stands in his way.

hawkmoth has caused chaos around the world without anyone knowing about his power,he has made conflicts between metahumans and collateral damage in Jefferson's Kingdom but now his attention is somewhere else, his wait has come to an end and now its time for him to make his move...

For those who dont know Jefferson Pierce is also known as black lighting in the dc universe.

In this story Damian Wayne and Marinette are 18 years old

Btw dark knights of steel is a au comic series that it's situated in the medieval times where dc comics writes the story its pretty good and we got inspiration from that story line to write this fanfic

( We dont follow the original story this is different, so you dont need to know the comic to understand this story)
