Nika and the team were getting run, hard. The moment they stepped foot into the gym, Geno had been barking orders around. All of them knew they had to be in a war-contending mood, especially with their final opponents being the USC Trojans. They were a step up from Iowa, and Geno knew there was no way—if they were going to win—that Gottlieb would lose without putting up the hardest fight she could.

Juju was a hard player, on par with Paige's drive with a tinge of exoticism. She was going to be a) hard to guard, and b) even harder to score against.

Nika bent over, toppling down to lie flat on the floor beside her teammates. She panted, gasping for air desperately as she closed her eyes. An arm rested over her head to shield them away from the fluorescent lights. Her lungs burnt and her body was beginning to cramp, going on three hours of high intensity training was starting to catch up to her mortal body.

"I need a sip of water... maybe a pool." KK sighed into the floor, turned back her to curl against the floor.

Her back heaved with her breath, head turning to glance over at Paige, who had just shot the last ball off the rack from the free-throw line. The blonde fell to her knees, tumbling to the ground as Geno blew his whistle to let the team have a water break.

"Jesus Christ, I've never tested the limits to a human body until today," Aubrey hissed, sitting up, "I can feel pain in places I didn't even know could feel pain."

Nika evened her breath, feeling her heart ease as she propped herself up. She hadn't really said much since they've been back, not to her team. The person she had kinda talked to was Aaliyah, and maybe Aubrey, but she stayed mostly silent the whole time. She caught herself being shot stared from girls time to time, especially Paige, but even the blonde remained locked into whatever drill they were thrusted into.
