A warm breath brushed her ear, sending shivers down her spine. "I thought I told you not to drink," a deep, husky voice whispered, causing goosebumps to rise on her skin. His hands moved to her side, making her inhale sharply as warmth coursed through her. "Face me," he commanded softly.

As she turned to confront the cold Alpha, her breath caught. He was strikingly handsome in a short-sleeved black shirt and light blue jeans that clung to his muscular thighs, complemented by black boots. His jet-black hair was casually styled, as if he'd just run his fingers through it. This man was undeniably captivating.

Her eyes were locked on his. "Yes, Alpha?" she asked breathlessly, butterflies swirling in her stomach as she watched him transform, his wolf emerging.

Braken looked down at his mate and let out a low growl. She was stunning, and he struggled to resist the urge to pull her closer. "I thought I told you no partying, Dakota," he whispered, leaning in to her ear. The scent of her perfume overwhelmed him, nearly pushing him to the edge.

Lost in his presence, she placed her hands on his chest, instantly feeling a rush of desire. He smelled intoxicating, like vanilla and cinnamon. She licked her lips, captivated. "Sorry, Alpha," she murmured, though she didn't truly mean it; all her focus was on him.

Braken took her hand firmly. "Dance with me," he said. When she nodded, she hopped off the stool, allowing him to lead her to the dance floor.

Braken wrapped his arms around her, gripping her hand as he twirled her. "Why did you drink tonight?" he asked, holding her from behind.

She pressed her hips against him, stifling a moan. "Because you were gone," she breathed.

Braken smirked against her neck. "You knew what would happen if I found out," he murmured, planting a light kiss on her skin.

Dakota moaned, tilting her neck to him. "Yes, you would come for me," she replied, pushing back against him.

As they swayed together, Braken slid his hand down her side and across her stomach. "You are mine, Dakota," he growled possessively.

She smiled up at him, . "You are mine, Alpha," she said, finally admitting it aloud, her heart swelling with the truth. She didn't care if anyone else knew; this beast of a man was hers and only hers.

Braken squeezed her tighter against him, his voice low and fierce. "We aren't perfect. We are cold, mean, and heartless. But you are my weakness," he growled in her ear, savoring the way her skin prickled at his words.

Feeling bold, Dakota pushed away from him and turned to face him. Braken's eyes darkened with displeasure at the distance she created. "Come here, Dakota," he commanded, his tone brooking no argument. To his satisfaction, she obeyed willingly.

Standing on her tiptoes, she wrapped her arms around him, and his strong arms enveloped her instantly. "I want to give you everything but I can't promise you that it will always be flowers and rainbows. I am a cold man Dakota"

The warmth of his embrace made her feel safe, and she reveled in the connection they shared. The world around them faded away, leaving just the two of them in their own little universe.

A soft smile spread across her face. "Don't mark me yet then, Draiden. I'm not asking for you to drop everything for me. I know it won't be easy; we are mates."

Her eyes shimmered with love and vulnerability, and Draiden felt the walls he'd built around his heart begin to crumble. With a deep breath, he nodded slowly. "I've missed you," he said, his voice softer, the fierce alpha giving way to the man underneath.
