“I wanna go shopping so bad but I don’t have money,” Cancer sighed, staring longingly out of the window. The sight of a vibrant spring day was enough to make her feel restless.
Pisces, lounging beside her on the fluffy carpet, perked up and pouted. “Me too,” she agreed, her big doe eyes welling with just the right amount of desperation.
Just then, Capricorn breezed in, her presence like a ray of sunshine cutting through the mundane. “What’s this I’m hearing?” she chirped as she sauntered over, her arms crossed and a smile on her lips. “You two plotting something?”
“Oh... um... nothing,” Pisces stuttered, trying to conceal their desire for at least a tiny shopping expedition.
Capricorn raised an eyebrow. “Come on. You know you can tell me anything, baby. Now I heard you want to go shopping but you don’t have money?”
Cancer nodded, her face visibly bummed out.
Capricorn chuckled, her heart warming at the sight of her two favorite girls looking so adorably distressed. “Take my card. Splurge all you want. Sometimes we do need to spoil ourselves,” she said with a flourish, handing them her sleek credit card that gleamed like a piece of jewelry.
“OMGGG THANK YOU, CAPPY!” The two girls squealed, bouncing up in a fit of excitement.
Capricorn laughed softly, enjoying their infectious energy. “But you know the rules, right? You can’t go alone. I’ll ask one or two of the boys to go with you, okay? Safety first!” Her tone turned stern, but there was an underlying warmth.
The girls nodded vigorously, their energy renewed, ready to face the world, even if it involved teenage hurdles like "which cute dress will I buy?"
“Sagittarius! Aries!” Capricorn called out, her voice echoing through the open-plan living room.
Seconds later, Sagittarius and Aries, the quintessentially laid-back boys, appeared from the other room, looking slightly bewildered at the sudden gathering of cheerful girls.
“Uhh, yes? Is everything okay?” Sagittarius asked, shuffling his feet awkwardly.
“Yes! I just need you two to accompany Cancer and Pisces to the mall for safety reasons,” Capricorn stated, pointing at the two girls who nodded eagerly.
“The car keys are on the kitchen island,” she added, dismissing the boys to their new mission.
Aries scratched the back of his head. “But what do you mean by safety reasons?”
“Don’t start with me! They’re the youngest and need constant care and eyes on them,” Capricorn said firmly, crossing her arms as if this was a placating command rather than a concern.
“Of course, of course,” Aries replied, suddenly feeling more embarrassed than protective.
“Okay guys! Let me grab the keys, and let’s make our way to the mall,” Sagittarius said with an uncharacteristically authoritative tone as he dashed back into the kitchen.
Aries, Sagittarius, Cancer, and Pisces made their way to the car. The boys hopped into the front seats while the two girls settled into the back, a flurry of excitement shared between them.
"Thank you for coming with us," Cancer said softly, her doe eyes sparkling with expectation.
Sagittarius glanced in the rearview mirror and smiled gently. He had always been the easygoing one among the boys, forever ready for an adventure, and he knew how much this day meant to the girls.
“Life has no greater journey than shopping for clothes!” he remarked, revving the car's engine. “Let’s unleash the wild beasts that dwell in the shopping jungle!”
