                                 Chapter one: Why me__________________

It was a regular-ish Tuesday. Atleast as regular as it can                                            Be for a forbidden demigod preparing for a possibly world deciding war. I was hanging out in the Arena, training.. My skills?? I'm not exactly sure what I was doing. I'm not gonna elaborate on whether that's because I forgot what I was doing at that point in time, I was training my own techniques, which aren't very practical and are kinda stupid, or if it was because I was sparring with Clarrise and getting beat up. Or all three. You pick which you like best.

It was about 4-5 months after the battle of the Labyrinth, so the camps atmosphere was pretty tense and sullen. We were all training and preparing for the worst to come. I had decided to take a break from fighting to cool off and get a drink, turning my dagger back into a moon clip for convenience, but still kept it in my hand instead of putting it away.

Just as I was putting my water bottle back down, the sound of hooves trotting on the pavement caught my attention, causing me to turn my head. Standing behind me was Chiron, with his arms folded behind his back and an expression a mix of seriousness and... slightly aghast..? Thats a bit concerning. Next to him was Mr.D, looking grumpy as usual, and a bit annoyed. Nothing new there to worry about.

"Miss.Jackson... Would you accompany us to the Big House. Theres a.. Situation we would like you to take care of." Chiron spoke, clearing his throat.

That wasn't very reassuring.

"Uhm.. Y-yeah sure.. I guess. What do need me for though??" I asked, fidgeting with my hairclip, twisting it around in my hands.

Wow. Great response Leah. 10/10. Such good people talking skills.

"You'll see. just hurry up Lenon."

""It's Leah!"

"That's what I said."

"Whatever Derek.."

I grumbled, following them, since I didn't have much choice.

We stopped once we reached the porch. Chiron gestured for me to take a seat, which I did happily. Mr.D took a seat opposite of me and Chiron stood next to his chair.

"Sooo... Uh... you gonna tell me what you need me for now..? If it's a quest I'm running away and pretending I didn't hear what you said." I asked, getting curious as to what they needed me for, and why now.

The two exchanged a glance before Chiron spoke up. "I don't think that's a very good idea Leah, but no, we're not sending you on a quest. You see... earlier this morning we had a.. Being of some sort appear to us in the big house, claiming to be a god. He was offering us deals that seemed sketchy, and made himself right at home. We're yet to figure out what he wants, but Mr.D has confirmed he is a god of some sort. But not one from this universe, which raises more questions about his business here. We were.. Hoping you could try and figure out what he's here for. And preferably keep an eye on him.. We're currently trying to get in contact with Olympus and Eliza for any info we can find."

I stayed still, listening intently, a bit concerned. We're already preparing for war with Kronos, now this? Maybe he's some minor deity on they're side sent here to spy on us.? Either way I already didn't like them. For a few reasons. One, he's a god. Two, if he's from another dimension, that means just the gods from here weren't enough, the universe had to send more to screw with me. Wait-, this is my book not Percy's. The universe had to send more to fuck with me.

After Chiron was done with his little speech, I glanced between him and Mr.D, still fidgeting with my weaponizable hairclip, processing what he said.

"A god.? Willingly around demigods..? Weird... but why do you want me to be the one to babysit him?" I finally asked, after a bit.

"Because you'll do it with the least complaining. And you don't have a choice." Mr.D spoke up, sipping a diet coke.

I sighed, thinking over the situation and my options before reluctantly agreeing. It could be fun, right? "Fine... where is this 'god.'"

"In the Big House, just through the door there. Be careful though Leah. We Don't know anything about this.. Being. Don't trust him, keep your guard up, and keep him out of trouble."

"Yeah, Yeah. I know. I'll be carefull." I waved them off, putting the moon clip in my hair and hurrying into the Big House.

"Hello.?" I called out, shutting the door behind me and looking around.

That's when I saw it. Floating infront of the desk in the corner was a... triangle..? He was yellow and kind of glowing, with two arms and legs still. He wore a black top hat and bowtie, and when he turned around, the only facial feature he had was one big eye in the middle-ish of him. No mouth, no ears, no nose. He was like a living version of the illuminati symbol. I actually didn't mind though. I thought he looked cool. Especially the one eye. It reminded me of Tyson, and anything that reminds me of one of my friends or family members I instantly like.

Speaking of which, as I'm writing this I realize I haven't talked to him in a bit. I'll have to go to dad's for dinner sometime and visit with Tyson. Or is he still at Camp Jupiter with Ella? Eh, I'll figure out.

He turned to face me before speaking. He sounded really cheerful, and he kinda.. Glowed when he spoke.?

"Ah. You must be Daystars cousin!"
