(@THE HOSPITAL)

The sterile white walls of the hospital felt suffocating, a stark contrast to the vibrant life that LINGLING had brought into her world. While Waiting For The Doctor To Come Out,  Tears streamed down ORM’s face, a constant flow of grief that refused to be stemmed.

“What happened, ORM?” ORM’s father asked, his voice laced with worry, his arms reaching out to embrace his daughter.

“D… Dad, someone shot her at our mansion,” ORM explained, her voice choked with sobs, her body trembling with the weight of her grief.

“Don’t worry, ORM.  She will be okay.  Let’s trust in God.  I know LINGLING is strong and resilient.  She can endure this trial,” ORM’s father comforted, his voice filled with a desperate hope, his arms holding his daughter tightly.

“Hopefully, Dad, hopefully,” ORM whispered, her voice barely audible, her tears falling freely.

Hours stretched into an eternity.  ORM’s father sat beside her, offering words of comfort, but no words could alleviate the crushing weight of her sorrow.  The doctor finally emerged from the operating room, his face etched with a heavy sadness.

⌛ TIME SKIPPED ⌛

“Doc, how is LINGLING?” ORM asked, her voice trembling, her eyes searching for a glimmer of hope.

“I’m sorry. We did everything we could,” the doctor said, his voice filled with profound sympathy.

“What do you mean, Doc?” ORM asked, her voice a desperate plea, her tears falling freely.

“The patient has passed away.  The bullet hit her heart, causing severe blood loss.  I’m sorry,” the doctor said, his words a chilling confirmation of ORM’s worst nightmare.

The world seemed to stop for ORM.  The weight of her grief was unbearable, a crushing weight that threatened to suffocate her.  She couldn’t believe that LINGLING was gone, that the vibrant woman who had filled her life with joy and passion was no more.

⌛ TIME SKIPPED ⌛

Five years had passed, five years of a life devoid of LINGLING’s laughter, her warmth, her love.  ORM stood at LINGLING’s graveside, the cold, hard stone a stark reminder of her absence.   The world felt gray, devoid of color, a stark reflection of her heart.

“It has been five years since you left, LINGLING. But your memories are fresh in my mind until now.  I know you wanted me to be happy, to find someone who will love me, and whom I will love wholeheartedly. But I chose to love you faithfully, LINGLING KWONG. I don’t know if I will find someone to love like I loved you,” ORM said, her voice a mournful whisper, a bittersweet smile playing on her lips.

“I still haven’t forgotten you, LINGLING.  Until now, you are still in my heart and mind,” ORM added, her voice filled with a longing that was both painful and comforting.

ORM lay down beside LINGLING’s grave, her body resting on the cold, hard earth.  She looked up at the sky, the clouds drifting lazily across the canvas of blue, the sun casting a soft, ethereal light upon the world.

“I know you are there, LINGLING. I know you are watching me.  I just want to tell you that even though it has been five years without you, I still love you so much, and I will love you until my last breath,” ORM said, her tears falling freely, a testament to the enduring love she held for the woman who had captured her heart.

The world felt silent, a deafening silence that only amplified the depth of her grief.

ORM closed her eyes, her heart aching with a profound sadness.  She knew that LINGLING would never return, but she also knew that she would carry her love, her memory, with her, forever etched in her soul.

It was a love that transcended time, a love that defied death, a love that would forever bind them together, a love that would forever be… YOU’RE MINE.

A shiver ran down ORM's spine. She felt a presence, a faint tremor in the air. She turned, her eyes scanning the cemetery, searching for the source of the disturbance.  Nothing.

THE END
