“I know, and I see your suffering, during the times when you still couldn’t accept that I was no longer in your life. I want to wipe away your tears while you cry, I want to hug you and tell you that I’m here.  I want to tell you that in the past five years, I’ve only been watching you from afar. I’m sorry for what I couldn’t do.  I don’t want you to get caught up in the mess I started. I’m sorry for letting you suffer, thinking I was gone. I would rather see you cry, even see you lifeless. Don’t worry, because after all this turmoil, I will come back to your arms,” LINGLING said, her voice filled with a heartbreaking emotion, her tears falling as she watched ORM from a distance.

“I know I’ll be selfish now, but please hold on, until I resolve this mess. After all this, I will make sure not to let you cry because of me,” LINGLING added, her voice laced with a determination that surprised even her.

“LINGLING, we need to leave now,” said TAN, one of LINGLING’s trusted friends, his voice a low murmur, his eyes filled with concern.

“Are you sure she’ll be safe going home?” LINGLING asked, her eyes filled with a lingering worry.

“Yes, I’ve made sure that the person we assigned to watch over her will be extra cautious so ORM won’t suspect anything,” TAN replied, his voice calm, his eyes meeting LINGLING’s with a reassuring gaze.

“Okay, let’s go,” LINGLING said, her voice a whisper, her eyes fixed on ORM, a love that transcended time and death in their depths.   She turned and walked away, leaving ORM standing alone, her heart pounding with a mixture of disbelief, hope, and a terrifying, overwhelming fear.
