As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the land of Kazdel, the Prince of Sarkaz, Averus stood on the balcony of the Royal Family castle, gazing out at the breathtaking view of the garden before him, but his eyes picture emptiness.

The gentle breeze carried the scent of blooming flowers and the distant sounds of moving leaves created a peaceful atmosphere.

Yet, despite such a beautiful view served by nature before his eyes, the young man’s heart is filled with concern and confusion.

Unlike two or perhaps three years ago, Averus is no longer as naive as he was before.

He could feel from the atmosphere, his surroundings, the gaze of people and even the way his mother and father acted that something quite possibly disastrous is currently happening or nearly happened within Kazdel, his homeland.

Even so, with the limited knowledge and sources he possessed the young Prince was unable to dig deeper into the matter and all he knows is that lately, there's a lot of conflict that arises within Kazdel but the King is able to settle the matter peacefully.

Averus knew that there's something more than just that vague information.

A sigh escaped his lips as disappointment and a slight anger invaded his heart. It doesn't sit well with him how his parents treated him, protecting him so much as if he could not do anything, as if he's as fragile as a glass.

Minutes passed and the Prince remained unmoving from the balcony, taking the beauty of the garden tended by his mother into his heart to calm him down.

In silence he awaits calmness to grace his soul, letting the sounds of nature to soothe his anger and concern, but it doesn't seem to work well.

Just then, a loud thumping noise of something akin to steps is heard coming from behind, Averus glances over his shoulder and sees the massive figure of the Last Wendigo standing behind him.

“Greetings…. Your… Highness.”

Though he's massive and perhaps looking threatening to the eyes of others he’s but a gentle giant, for those who knew of him.

“General Buldrokkas’tee, It is a pleasure to meet you.”

Averus bowed respectfully.

“You look…. Concerned.” The old General spoke, there's a genuine concern in his tone but due to his face hiding behind a mask, Averus wasn't sure.

“Ah, there's nothing to worry about General, the gloomy evening I believe, affected my mood.” Averus replied, masking his true emotions with a friendly smile.

Buldrokkas’tee was far from foolish, but he knew that the best was to let the young Sarkaz to seek his own answer.

“Speaking of which, General, it is quite rare to see you here, is there any particular reason?” He asked with a genuine curiosity written clearly in his face.

“Ah…. Lady…. Ramale… was asking for you…” He said calmly with his raspy and heavy voice.

Almost instantly the Prince's face loses its color and dreadful thought seeped into his mind.

There are three things in this world that terrifies the Sarkaz Prince, the first one is his mother's wrath, the second is his mother's awful cooking and the third is the anger of Ramale.

He gulped, in fear. “General….”

“Yes… Your Highness…?” The Wendigo tilted his head slightly, confused as to why the Prince looked terrified.

“Pray for my safety!!” He said as he immediately left the balcony running.

A heavy sigh escaped the old General, he recalled the time when he was far away from his homeland and his longing to go home, he recalled the sacrifice his old friend, Sebastian made so that he and his family could return to his homeland.
