Hazel's POV

I awoke to the sun shining in my face. I blinked hard a couple of times before I heard the sound of light snoring behind me. That was when I noticed the weight of an arm on me and the feel of a chest on my back. I take a moment to look at my surroundings, not wanting to move too much as to not wake up Sherlock. His room was covered in books, a desk on the opposite wall with books stacked on top of the surface, shelves littered with books too. The room was a nice shade of brown, not having any wallpaper or decorations.

Sherlock let out a small groan and pulled me closer to him, his breath sending shivers down my spine. That's when I noticed I had no clothes on at all. I wrap his blanket around me a bit more to cover myself up a bit more but I felt kisses being placed on my shoulder.

"Good morning." He says, his morning voice causing me to have goosebumps.

"Good morning to you too." I greet back quietly, a smile on my face.

I turn to face him, and see his eyes staring at mine. His hair was very shaggy from last night, his neck and chest covered in hickeys.

"How long have you been awake?" He asks.

I give him a shrug. "Not very long. Your room is a disorganized, chaotic mess." He looked at me with confusion, so I gave him a grin. "Just making an observation."

"Ah, I see." He muses, placing a piece of hair behind my ear.

I prop my head up in my hand and look at his face. His features were sharp, face was normally pale and serious, but this time it was light, happy even. His eyes never left my face, as if he was scanning my every move.

"So, what are we doing past this point?" I ask looking down for a moment in embarrassment.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, are we just sleeping together, or are we something more?" I clarify, looking into his eyes for a reaction.

He gives a thoughtful hum. "What do you want to be?"

"I don't want to be friends with benefits. I've known you too long for us to just be that. I want to be something more."

"My thoughts exactly." He whispers, a smile decorating his features. "You are more than my work partner. I want you to be my partner in everything. In crime, in solving crime, in my personal life."

"Really?" I say, my grin becoming bigger with each word.

"Very much so." He chuckles. "I've never done this before, and I'm sure I'll make many mistakes-"

"I don't care. We can do this together. We can learn on the go. I don't want to lose you but we can figure this out as a team." I interrupt.

Sherlock gives a smile. "Then let's become partners."

I let out an excited laugh and practically lunge at Sherlock. He catches me and gives out a hearty laugh. I kiss him on his lips slowly, which he graciously accepts. Slowly I leave a train of kisses all over his face before heading down to his neck then his chest.

"Careful now." He hums playfully.

I stop the kisses and go back up to his face, a sly grin on my face. "And what if I'm not?"

"Well, we'll have to fix that." He practically growls, sitting up to cup my face and pull me to him.

Sherlock and I were sitting in our respective chairs drinking tea I made. Both of us were reading, sitting in comfortable silence and in our pajamas. Well, he was, I was in his robe.
