Meet Dorian Hale, a teenager suffocating under the weight of his hidden identity and the relentless grip of depression. Life has become a monotonous cycle of isolation, where each day blurs into the next with no promise of relief. On one fateful night, when the darkness feels more like a companion than an enemy, Dorian decides he's had enough. But just as he contemplates ending it all, something stirs in the shadows beneath his bed.

Emerging from the depths is Caius Evernight, a demon bound by a curse, whose cold gaze promises nothing but death. Caius reveals that he must kill Dorian to escape the chains of purgatory. Strangely, the thought doesn't terrify Dorian—it's almost a relief. With an eerie calm, he agrees, whispering words that seal his fate.

But Caius isn't ready to end it just yet. He offers Dorian a deal: one month to live life without regrets, to do as he pleases. If, after that month, Dorian still wishes for death, Caius will gladly fulfill the bargain. Dorian, feeling nothing but emptiness, accepts, believing it's just a delay of the inevitable.

As the days pass, Dorian starts to taste the forbidden fruits of a life he never thought he could have. He revels in reckless abandon, with Caius always lurking nearby, an enigmatic observer. But as Dorian begins to feel a flicker of something he hasn't in a long time—hope—Caius finds himself torn between his duty and emotions he thought were long buried.

The month draws to a close, and the final day looms over them like a storm. Dorian must decide: does he cling to the fragile new life he's discovered, risking the wrath of a demon who is bound to him, or does he succumb to the darkness that has haunted him for so long?

And Caius—will he follow through with the pact, knowing it means losing the only human who has ever made him question his own existence?

The clock ticks down, and with every passing second, the tension between life and death tightens. But when the final moment arrives, will Dorian choose to defy fate, or will Caius's blade finally fall?
