Seven childhood friends were finally taking a long break from their hectic college lives. After all the lectures and endless exams, a trip to the mountains felt like a breath of fresh air. The fresh, crisp air and the breathtaking views of the mountains were exactly what they needed.

Among them, Taehyung found himself drifting into deep thoughts as they made their way up the winding paths.

He couldn't help but steal glances at Jungkook, the one person who filled his heart with an undying love he could never express.

Jungkook, with his bright smile and pure heart, was the light in Taehyung's life. His soft voice, the way his eyes sparkled when he laughed, how his lips curled into that perfect smile-Taehyung was mesmerized by every little thing about him. His feelings were intense, almost suffocating. He admired Jungkook, worshipped him, and would fall to his knees for him if only Jungkook could read his mind.

As they trekked, there were moments that made Taehyung's heart race. Jungkook, tired from the hike, held his hand tightly as they walked, their fingers laced together. When Jungkook needed a break, he jumped onto Taehyung's back, laughing as Taehyung carried him like he weighed nothing. Taehyung smiled every time Jungkook clung to him, always seeking comfort and support in his presence.

Jungkook often caught Taehyung zoning out, lost in his thoughts. He would snap his fingers in front of his face, bringing him back to reality, and then giggle at how flustered Taehyung would get. These little moments were everything to Taehyung. They made him fall deeper in love with Jungkook, even though he knew that his feelings could never be returned.

Finally, after a long day, they reached their cabin in the woods. The evening was cool, and the group gathered around the campsite, sharing stories and laughter. The fire crackled softly, casting a warm glow on their faces. As the night went on, Jimin suggested a game, and soon it was Taehyung and Jungkook's turn. They were dared to dance together, a challenge they both accepted with wide smiles.

As they danced under the starlit sky, it felt like time had stopped. Taehyung's heart pounded in his chest as he held Jungkook close, their bodies swaying to the rhythm of the music. It was just the two of them, lost in their own world. For Taehyung, it was a magical moment-a fleeting glimpse of what could never be. Jungkook's laughter was music to his ears, and for a moment, Taehyung allowed himself to believe that this was enough.

But then, the magic was broken. As they sat back down, Jungkook received a text from his boyfriend, Eunwoo. The change in Jungkook's demeanor was immediate. His bright smile faded, and his eyes lost their spark. Taehyung noticed instantly and leaned closer to ask, "Koo, are you alright?"

Jungkook forced a smile and shook his head. "It's nothing, hyung."

But Taehyung knew better. He could see the sadness in Jungkook's eyes, the way his shoulders slumped. He wanted to comfort him, to take away the pain, but he knew his words would only fall on deaf ears.

Later that night, after they had all settled in for the night, Taehyung and Jungkook shared a room. They were lying in their beds, the room dark except for the soft glow of the moonlight filtering through the window. Taehyung turned on his side, watching as Jungkook applied lotion to his legs, his face serene despite the earlier tension.

"Jungkook..." Taehyung's voice was hesitant, almost a whisper.

Jungkook hummed in response, a small smile playing on his lips as he continued with his routine.
