Author's pov

As she stepped out of the car, his eyes roved over her form, taking in every curve and contour. The memory of how close their lips had come to meeting sent a shiver down his spine, and he struggled to keep his thoughts to himself. He wanted her more than anything, but he also claimed to hate her, and that war of emotions raged within him.

After the awkward moment in the car, they both composed themselves and entered the jewelry store. The atmosphere inside was elegant and refined, with glittering display cases and a quiet, sophisticated ambiance. As they entered, the staff immediately recognized the wealthy and influential figure in front of them.

They quickly greeted Shahmeer with deferential nods and polite smiles, their eyes sparkling with interest. He nodded in acknowledgement. The staff was well aware of his reputation as he's one of the most successful and wealthiest men in India. He had already communicated with the jwellers beforehand, instructing them to present their finest and most expensive diamond rings for his perusal.

The jwellers were renowned as the most prestigious jewelers in India, known for their exquisite selection and rare, valuable diamonds. They began to bring out several velvet-lined trays, each containing a selection of magnificent diamond rings, each one more splendid than the last. Just then Shahmeer's phone started ringing and he went a little away to receive the call.

As she stared at the beautiful rings, her eyes sparkled with excitement. She browsed the array of rings, a particular one caught her eye. It was a stunning diamond ring with a single initial "S" elegantly carved on the band. The ring was beautiful and unique, but she hesitated to tell her choice.

"Could I really say that I wanted a ring with his initial on it?" She thought and was admiring the diamond ring with the "S" initial, her fingers running over the smooth metal.

She assumed that he wasn't paying attention to her, as he was engrossed in a phone conversation. But unbeknownst to her, he was watching her intently out of the corner of his eye, taking note of every movement she made. (Phone call was just an excuse, the real purpose was to know the choice of her.)

He smirked and whispered, "I knew princess you would like that ring."

Mahenoor's pov

After finishing his phone call, he walked over to where I was admiring the jewelry. "Pack that ring," he told the jewelry employee, pointing to the diamond ring with the "S" initial that I had been touching.

Despite my happiness I looked at him and spoke up, "Why would I wear a ring with your initial on it?" I asked him. He looked at me with a hint of possessiveness in his eyes. "So that everyone knows you belong to me," he said with a firm tone, his gaze holding mine steadily.

"On one condition, if you wear a ring with my initial," I know he won't agree with my condition but still I put forth my demand.

"Aap chahti hain sabko pata chale ki, Mai apka hu?" he asked. (You want everyone to know that I am yours?) I nodded, he smirked and replied. "I agree to your condition, I'll wear a ring with your initial on it, and you'll wear a ring with mine." As he agreed to my condition, my eyes widened in surprise. I'd expected him to argue or to refuse, but instead, he'd accepted without any hesitation.

I felt a mixture of disbelief at his unexpected concession. Just then the jeweler informed us that the ring he had chosen, The "Solitaire," was indeed the most expensive diamond ring in their collection, with a price tag of 6 crores.
