Friday couldn't come soon enough. Not when you had to deal with Sukuna being, well Sukuna, all while still trying to convince Yuji that nothing had been going on between you two. Even when Yuji walked with you home on Wednesday night, he continuously gave you a side eye glance, like he couldn't wrap his head around what he saw. It didn't help that Sukuna found amusement in your obvious discomfort and anytime he heard you trying to convince Yuji that it was all a misunderstanding, he would bud in and say stupid shit like, "I think it's time you tell him the truth." Or "Are you really so ashamed that you're still trying to hide it?" And then he would cackle like a madman as he walked off. Sukuna's jokes were incredibly embarrassing, but at the very least Yuji was able to deduce that you had been telling the truth all along.

While you had zero control over what Sukuna said or did; Yuji, though he seemed reluctant, agreed to keep what he saw to himself and not tell anyone else, including Choso. You didn't need anyone else pestering you about making a deal with the devil. Especially after Satoru blew up your phone, wondering why you never showed up to his place. That had been a headache all on its own.

But even after everything, the most infuriating part was that Jin Itadori never visited the club and never asked to speak with you. The anger you felt that night was still easily tangible as you made your way through the aisles at the grocery store. Your heart was racing just a few nights ago, much like it was now at the mere thought of it; and when you pushed open the doors to Sukuna's office, he barely lifted his head to glance over at you.

"Jin wanted to see me?" You seethed; the heat of your words didn't seem to bother him in the slightest.

"That's what he said," Sukuna spoke absentmindedly, looking more engrossed in the papers in his hands than your concerns.

You shifted to one side, arms crossed, glaring at him across the room. "Is that really what he said? Or is this just some sick game to you?"

He still didn't look up from his papers, which made you all the angrier. The least he could do was give you his undivided attention after the hellish day he put you through. "Jin says a lot of things, and usually falls through on his promises more times than not. Get used to it."

Your eyes burned holes through the cereal boxes in front of you, his words didn't do much to diffuse the situation. And here you were, days later, still upset over a situation that could have been avoided if you just went to Satoru's instead. You snatched a box of cereal off the wall and tossed it in your basket, grumbling to yourself like some crazy lady as you turned into the next aisle.

The store had been pretty empty when you arrived, which was normal for a Friday afternoon. Most people were at work, while moms and dads did their shopping in the morning, and kids were luckily in school right now. You tried to take deep breaths as you walked, eyes looking over the items in the shelf without much interest.

Today was going to be a good day. That was your new mantra for the day and if you repeated it enough, maybe it would be true. You stopped in the produce section, determining which fruits you wanted and separating the ones that were almost ripe and the ones that were too far gone. Bagging a few of your favorites, you tied off the plastic and dropped them in your basket. You checked your list again, checking off the items you had already picked up.

At the edge of the section, you could make out the silhouette of someone, but paid them no mind as you went searching for your next item. Yet as you continued your way around the store, that shadow seemed to follow you wherever you went. You about had it when you could see them once again walk down the aisle you stood in. Tossing your pack of noodles with a little extra force, you were about to give this guy a piece of your mind. You immediately recognized his pink hair and dark tattoos; he was definitely getting a piece of your mind now.
