Nana had us visit a children's hospital and to how much I was crying for them, nana said if wasn't so pure they she would've thought that I was pregnant.

I laughed it off and collected the remaining bags of toys, socks, cute sippy cups, and stationary: crayons, coloring books, and learning charts. Just seeing the smiles on the kids' faces warms my heart.

The ones that had no parents, I gave them more time than the ones that had.

It was late when we were finishing, and we were hungry, so Nana and made an exit. Only to see Reinaldo parked behind our vehicle.

My smile was replaced with a gasp at the sight of his hand in bandages.

I touched Nana's arm before I rushed off to him. "Babe, what happened?"

"I feed my fist to the man who made you cry." He smiled, and horror filled me at the sight of his face.

"Oh my..."

"I forgot for a moment that he was in the army." He chuckled.

Around his right eye and jaw is slightly swollen with a little darkness around the area.

"I'm sorry. I didn't want it to get to this." I frowned, reaching up to see if anywhere else was hurt.

"Only my face got hit, but it's fine. Don't apologize. You didn't nothing but be yourself, and you don't deserve an ounce of the way he was treating you. It's about time I did something." He held my hand and placed a kiss on my forehead. "You're looking beautiful."

"I don't know about that." I smiled. "But thank you."

"Have fun, you two." Nana says, handing Naldo my purse.

"You too, Nana." I giggled.

"Thank you dear, but don't do what married couples do." She teased, walking away to get her the car where her driver held the door open for her.

Embarrassed, I looked at Naldo and worried about his bruises. "Can we go?"

"Come on." He opened the door for me, and I thanked him as I got seated and buckled in.

He got in and did the same, driving away from the hospital when he asked about my day.

"It was so good. I smiled and cried so much for the babies that I'm sure each and every one got a drop of my tears on them..."

I continued telling him all that happened and what I did, but I took out my phone to check for any new messages only to see it filled with notification.

I clicked on the link that Dessa sent, and I stopped speaking at the sight of the video blowing up the internet.

Naldo sighed next to me but said or did nothing to stop me from seeing it.

It's a video of Naldo and his father at work in the parking lot. A crowd of employees surrounds them as they are arguing. Randall looks nonchalant about the entire conversation and seems eager to go inside. Reinaldo, on the other hand, slams a few documents unto his father's chest and announces a few things. The ones that caught my attention the most, being his resignation letter and other documents denouncing his inheritance of anything related to the Ralph family.

He's has more than step down. Publicly.

Then Randall angrily asked if he was throwing everything away over a girl who doesn't deserve to be married into the Ralph name.

Naldo corrected him that I'm not a girl, but an ambitious and successful young woman who didn't deserve to have him as a husband but he'll loves me enough to leave his repulsive hardheaded father who stoop so low to throw wine on my dress like some spoiled teenage who doesn't get their way.
