6. i'm meeting a girl (a real one)
y/n would never say it out loud but he was very nervous. it was just tutoring, he should be able to get through a quick tutoring session with the love of his life without embarrassing himself (well that's what he hoped). but y/n was never the type who was very lucky, he was sure he used up all his luck when he had managed to secure 2 official Polaroids in the first-ever album jaebeom released as a soloist, or when he pulled zhongli, his first roll on genshin.
y/n sat quietly at the table he had chosen in the library as he nervously bounced his leg waiting for jimin to arrive, he didn't know how long he can hype himself up without going completely insane the longer he had to wait. what felt like hours to y/n which was only a few minutes was when jimin had finally arrived, she seemed out of breath as if she was ran to the library. she scanned the library for what y/n assumed was her looking for him and when her eyes finally spotted him. he felt himself stiffen in his seat as she made her way towards him, her eyes apologetic as she inched closer.
his breath catches in his throat as he was face to face with jimin's rosy cheeks and glistening forehead he realized was the sweat from the excruciating south korean heat. but despite that, y/n still thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world and that he was blessed to be born during the same time as yu jimin.
"i'm so sorry for being late." jimin apologized profusely as she bowed her head repeatedly. y/n's eyes widen as he waves his hands to stop her from apologizing.
"it's okay i just got here myself," he mumbled awkwardly as she slowly nodded her head, and she took her seat across from him. truthfully, he got here an hour early due to his practice ending sooner than he had expected and he needed time to psych himself up before she came.
"how was practice?" jimin asked as she began to pull what she needed for their tutoring session out. y/n stiffened in his seat, not expecting jimin to ask about his basketball practice.
"oh, it was good. we were running a few drills and watching the film for our upcoming game." he responded awkwardly as he looked everyone but at her, he turned his attention back to her for a second before asking, "how was your day?"
"that's good i'm glad you had a good practice and my day was good, i didn't have classes today so i was able to lounge around for a bit." she smiled at y/n and that was enough to have his brain shut down. he nods his head in response, not trusting himself with speaking.
"well let's get this tutor session started." jimin smiled as she began to tutor him for the next 2 hours.
