He was so confused, but as he was running home, he realized, it didn't matter why or how he was feeling the way he was. He knew what he was feeling, love. Love for the game, and his teammates, and Aaron. Giancarlo knew, when he saw Aaron standing there at home, waiting for him, that he needed to tell him how he felt.

When he touched home plate, he was surrounded by his teammates cheering him on, but all that mattered was that Aaron was by his side. When they got back to the dugout Giancarlo walked up to Aaron, ready to tell him how he felt but before Giancarlo could speak Aaron pulled him into a bone-crushing hug. "You did good G." Aaron whispered in his ear.

"Thank you Ace, for everything." Giancarlo said as he pulled away from their embrace. "Hey, do you want to meet up tomorrow for lunch of something?" Giancarlo asked.

"Yeah sure." Judge responded, "would you be able to swing by my office before you leave, I want to show you something"

"Yeah, I'll be there right after I put my uniform away" Giancarlo said, grateful for another opportunity to see Aaron alone. He knew that this would probably be his best chance to tell Aaron everything, how he feels when they're together, how every touch, every yearning glance makes his heart flutter. How if he goes another moment without Aaron knowing he just might explode. As he walked down to Aaron's office, he was suddenly nervous, he realized what he was doing and the impact it may have on his and Aaron's friendship. He considered backing out and not saying anything but when he knocked on the office door and he saw Aaron he knew what he had to do. "Hey, sorry it took me a while." Giancarlo said as Aaron let him in, closing the door behind them.

"You're good G!" Aaron exclaimed looking a little nervous. Aaron had been dealing with feelings of his own. He had known for a while that he wasn't interested in being with the people his teammates were and he was okay with that. He thought maybe he had something with a teammate a few years ago but he was wrong. Very wrong. So wrong in fact that he left the team as quickly as he could. So, when Aaron realized he may feel that way about Giancarlo he was deeply afraid of the same thing happening twice, of Giancarlo finding out, getting scared, and running away. He cared about their friendship too much for that, but when he saw Giancarlo hit that walk-off grand slam he knew what had to be done. Even if it went wrong, even if it killed him. Aaron knew that if he ever wanted to be truly happy, he needed to tell Giancarlo the truth.

Giancarlo went to the chair in front of Aaron's desk and hesitated before taking a seat. Aaron went behind his desk and took a seat, quickly moving the chair to sit next to the other man.

"So, what's up Ace?" Giancarlo asked anxiously.

"I've been wanting to tell you something important. I don't want you to take this the wrong way or anything, and if you don't agree, just tell me," Aaron whispered. This worried Giancarlo, what could be so important? Did Aaron feel the same way about him? Before Giancarlo could respond, he felt Aaron scoot his chair closer and lean into Giancarlo.

"Hey, is this, okay?" Aaron whispered in G's ear.

"What, um, yeah?" answered Giancarlo, unsure of what was happening. Aaron answered him by leaning forward and pressing his lips to Giancarlo's. Giancarlo was stunned at first but couldn't help putting his arms around Aaron's neck and pulling him closer. The butterflies in Giancarlo's stomach were the most extreme they had ever been. After what seemed like too soon, Aaron pulled away.

"Wow." Giancarlo said, still in shock, Aaron had just done that. He had just kissed Aaron Judge, "Why did you do that?" Giancarlo asked, still confused how anyone as wonderful as Aaron could want to kiss someone like him.

"Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have done that." Aaron said quickly, realizing what he had done. "Um, I should go, I don't think I'll be able to make lunch tomorrow, sorry. Bye I guess." With that, Aaron walked out the door.

Giancarlo sat, stunned, for a couple seconds before realizing what had happened. Aaron thought that he had done something wrong by kissing him, but Giancarlo needed him to know that what he had done felt incredibly right. Giancarlo ran out of the office and saw Anthony Rizzo, "Hey Rizz, have you seen Aaron anywhere?" Giancarlo asked desperately.

"Yeah, he just walked outside, he looked real upset. He okay?" Rizzo asked.

"He will be, thanks Rizzo!" Giancarlo yelled, already running out the door to catch Aaron. It was raining outside making it hard to see but Giancarlo was determined to find Aaron.

As Aaron walked to his car, he knew that he had done something very bad by kissing Giancarlo. He could tell by the look on his face. Shock, total shock. Aaron was sure that he had ruined their friendship. How could he have been so stupid to kiss him; to think somebody as amazing as Giancarlo could ever want anything to do with him. What was it that Giancarlo had said just before Aaron had kissed him, "What, um, yeah?" He said it like a question, like he wasn't sure. Aaron knew that he shouldn't have taken that as a yes, but he was so determined to kiss him, so sure that Giancarlo had to feel the same way he had never stopped to question if maybe it was all in his head. All the little moments, the shared looks, little touches, moving slightly just to be closer to each other, making sure they were off on the same days, always sitting closer together than the other guys. Aaron thought that those had meant something, but maybe he was wrong.

Giancarlo was looking everywhere for Aaron, but he was nowhere to be found, "Aaron!? Aaron, where are you?" Giancarlo yelled, needing to find Aaron before it was too late.

Suddenly Aaron was broken out of his daze as he heard someone calling his name, when he turned around, he saw Giancarlo, "G, I'm so sorry I-"

Without realizing what he was doing Giancarlo rushed over to Aaron and crashed his lips to his, this time their kiss was more confident. "Oh my gosh G, I thought you hated me?" Aaron asked, shocked that he had read their first kiss so wrong.

"Ace, I could never hate you." Giancarlo said quietly, "You're my favorite person."

"But I thought that I scared you when I kissed you?" Aaron whispered.

"I mean I was surprised but I was getting ready to tell you that I have been into you since I got to this team. I was so worried that you may not feel the same way, so nervous in fact that I almost backed out. But when I saw you, standing at the door, waiting for me, I knew that it didn't matter what happened after, that you needed to know that I have been completely and utterly entranced by you for years. Before I even knew what I was feeling, you were the only thing I could think about. Honestly, I thought you we just my best friend, but I found myself constantly wanting to be around you, needing to be as close to you as possible on the bench or begging Boone to give us days off at the same time. I found myself wanting to hug you or grab your shoulders or hold your hand or even kiss you. I don't know what the future may hold for us, all I know is that I want to spend it with you, I want to see you every day and be able to do those things without being afraid that you don't want to do them with me."
