"She looks happy," Danielle said lowly to her best friend. Fantasia had been trying not to stare, but Taraji made it impossible. She was breathtakingly beautiful. Taraji laughed as the woman she was with hugged her tight and whispered something into her ear. Fantasia just turned to Danielle and gave her a small smile. It was her fault that Taraji was happy with someone else.

Having so many mutual friends had been pure torture for Fantasia. She always found herself in the same vicinity as Taraji. Like now, they were at Colman's Karaoke Night. It had sounded like it would be a blast, but now that she was there, her heart was shattering. Fantasia wanted her girl back, but after seeing Taraji's smile, she figured that it might be a little too late.

Taraji was surrounded by a bunch of guys. Most of them had been trying to get at her for years, but she was happily in a relationship with Fantasia. So they didn't stand a chance. Now that Taraji was back on the market, she could do as she pleased. The guys didn't bother Fantasia, though; it was the woman that she had never seen before who was the problem. I hate my life, Fantasia thought to herself. Her heart was racing, and she needed to get it under control.

Taraji had shown up early to meet up with her girlfriend at the studio. Fantasia had been putting in a lot of work, and Taraji was so proud of her. They were going to have date night since they hadn't spent much time together. That had been both their faults; they were busy trying to make shit happen. They just wanted to be happy and successful.

Taraji walked into the studio, but she stopped in her tracks when she heard Fantasia talking to someone. Her girlfriend was discussing their relationship with another woman. And not just any woman, a bitch that had been trying her hardest to break them up. Taraji heard Kyla tell Fantasia that she could make her feel better, and then it got quiet.

Taraji walked further in where she could see them, but they still couldn't see her. She watched Kyla stroke her girlfriend's cheek and then kiss her. Fantasia pushed her away, but the damage was done. Taraji ran out of there and went home.

"Fuck, Kyla! I told you I just wanted to be friends. Taraji warned me about you, and I still let you in. Me and my girl could break up, and I still wouldn't choose you." Little did Fantasia know that a breakup was definitely on the horizon.

"Get out!" Fantasia shouted. She was pissed. But some of that anger should have been reserved for herself. She was always letting bitches get too close and too fuckin' comfortable. Kyla ran out of the studio crying. She felt like a fool.

Fantasia packed up her stuff and went home. She wondered if she should tell Taraji about this or not. Unfortunately for her, she made the wrong choice, and Taraji already knew. Kyla had her so discombobulated that she forgot she and Taraji were even supposed to have date night.

Fantasia entered the apartment that she shared with her girlfriend, and it was quiet. She knew Taraji was home because her car was outside, so she went in search of her. Taraji was already in bed. That was unusual, but she had been working hard, so Fantasia thought she was just tired. Fantasia took her shoes off and then stripped down to her underwear and climbed into bed. She spooned Taraji from behind.

Taraji startled Fantasia when she spoke. "How was the studio session?" Fantasia jumped and started laughing. "Girl, I thought you were asleep. It was good. I got a lot done. The album is almost complete."
