After the reaping ceremony ended, Vivian was escorted by 2 peacekeeprs through the doors of District 2's Justice Building and lead to a separate room. The doors shut behind her and she was now all alone. She spent the next few minutes pacing around the room with mixed feelings, she was excited and still shocked from the reactions of others during the reaping. Then suddenly the door burst open and the first thing she saw was Leontina running towards her with tears pouring down her face and pulling her into a hug, almost knocking Vivian over, she wasn't expecting that. Her parents were the next to follow Leontina into the room shutting the door behind them in the process.

"Hey, it's ok, I'll be ok."

Vivian tried doing her best to calm her little sister down but she had to swallow a lump of guilt. Vivian wasn't the type of girl people would see cry in any situation, whenever she fell or got hurt, she got up and shook it off, as if it was nothing. But feeling her sister gripping onto her as if for dear life and her tears staining Vivian's dress almost made her shed a tear. She didn't though. She wanted this, she would always picture herself in the arena, when watching the previous games and besides, her sister was already heartbroken and if she had started crying too, it would have surely made the situation worse than it already was.

"She's right Leo, she's a tough one, she'll be the one to come home"

Vivian heard her father say. She took a Quick Look at him, he had a smile on his face but that didn't hide the pain in his eyes. Her mother was also crying, not as hysterically as her sister, but there were tears flowing down her cheeks.

"Listen kid, you stand a chance, you're from the strongest district, you've got great mentors, ask and listen to all the advice they give you, every little detail, you understand?"

Vivian nodded at her father's words.

"Stick with your district partner, whoever it ends up being and expect that you'll be sticking with the tributes from one but be careful, keep your eyes at the back of your head at all times, remember there's only one winner and we want our daughter back."

That again almost broke her heart. Was she selfish for doing this? She's their daughter, they've raised her for 12 years and she even has a sister that looks up to her. This thought made her mindset stronger. Her sister needs her, she hates being alone. She has to win this.

Before anyone could say another word, the door burst open and in walked a peacekeeper;

"Time to go"

Leontina started crying even more, still gripping onto her older sister so her father had to walk over and practically rip her apart but not before she heard her sister whisper;

"Please don't make me watch you die on that screen"

"You won't, I promise"

A promise that she knew couldn't be certain.

"We love you honey"

She heard her mother shout before she was escorted out followed by her sister and her father, who took one last look at his daughter.

"Keep your head heals high, kiddo, we'll see you soon"

And with that, the door shut and Vivian was once again left alone.
