Ocean

Who would've thought I would be spending my entire Saturday morning at a prison. I wouldn't even be here if my brother didn't think it was a good idea to make someone bite the curb, just because they beat him at basketball. I know 6 year olds who are more mature then him, and he's 16.

My brothers name is asher, a few years ago he got a scholarship to an all guys school for a basketball program. But this prison time is going to ruin his reputation.

I could say that I made the kid bite the curb, since no one in my family cares about my life. It's alway asher this and asher that. On our birthdays he gets the gifts, and I get to sit there and watch him open everything.

Sometimes my aunt has to sneak me stuff or else they give it to my brother. They say that twins are too expensive to shop for. I think that's just an excuse, since they don't even talk to me either. They only talk to me if the need a favour, and right now we are in the living room discussing what we are going to do about asher.

"Focus, ocean." My mother snaps at me.

I shift back to reality, which is in my-too big-living room. It looks like an average living room other then the size. A flat screen TV, two couches, a coffee table, side tables, and a fireplace.

She has long, white-blonde hair, blue eyes, and a perfect body. She look around 20 but she's actual 43. She's hated me since forever, unlike my dad who atleast tolerates me a little bit, she can't even stand to look at me for more than a second. She's disappointed that I chose to surf instesd of becoming a lawyer like her.

"Anyways, since you look so much like your brother, your father and I think it would be a good idea that you take Ashers place at school." She flashes a fake smile, crosses her legs, and rest her hands on her knees.

"Your crazy, that's an all guys school. Does look like in a boy. I've got long hair," I trail a hand down my hair. "I've got boobs," I point at my chest." And news flash, I sound like a girl, and I also have more muscles then him."

My parents exchange glances before my mother start to speak again. "I hired a wig specialist to give you short hair that looks natural, you can Put on a deeper voice, we can hire a guy for that, we have money for a reason. And don't forget that you can tell them you've been working out over the summer. Also I can buy you a special tape to make you look flat."

I scoff. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have stuff to do, like my surfing tournaments, I don't have time to pretend to be my brother.

"What am I going to do about Chance?" I question them.

She gives me a confused stare. "Whose chance? Do you have a boyfriend?" She asked unaprovinly.

"Ugh, no." Like I'd ever be with that bitch . "Has asher seriously never told you about chance?"

She shakes her head, waiting impatiently for me to continue speaking. "Go on. Tell us who he is exactly then."

Thats what I was going to do mother. But if my already shitty life taught me anything, it would be not to talk back to my mother. "Well he's Ashers rival, they were both put as captain for the basketball team. But they both think there can only be one captain, only one whose the best. If i go to that school, I've gotta be a captain and deal with chance. Plus I have to share a room with a guy-which could be anyone." I'm standing up off the brown leather sofa. Honestly brown does not go with the colours in here.
