Darkness is what I first registered. Inky black darkness stared back when I became conscious yet again.

A strange sensation spread across my body. It was strange, like needles poking me all over. It was similar to when your limb would fall asleep if you lie on top of it for too long.

Numb.

I let out a groan involuntarily, and tried to move. Somehow, I couldn't. My body felt heavy as if my flesh and blood were swapped for bricks and concrete.

I forced my muscles to move, and managed to force my eyes open. The first thing I registered was the ceiling of whatever room I was currently in.

It was exactly like my own dorm ceiling, but from my peripheral vision I could see the wall, and it was clearly not my room.

How you might ask?

Because there were pictures of me all over the walls.

Even in my dorm room I don't have that. In fact, I'm not quite sure any person besides Koenji or Yama...who?

I tried to move my head to look around, but it proved useless.

"Why-no, how am I here?"

I began to try and remember the events leading up to this strange situation I've now found myself in.

That's right...

I came to talk with Horikita, and she gave me food with drugs in them. That explains why I'm having such difficulty moving my limbs.

What drugs did she give me? A muscle relaxant or sleeping pills? It must be sleeping pills since I passed out right after consuming the drugs.

How much did she put in there though to have me pass out so quickly?

Never mind all of that, I need to escape before she comes back. I haven't lost my hearing because I could hear a fan in the same room as me.

Since I didn't hear or see Horikita in sight, this could be my chance.

I mustered up all my strength and tried to move my arms into a position to push myself off of what I was on top of, only to discover something truly soul crushing.

My arms and legs were bound to the bed I was laying on, restraining my moment completely. The rope was tied intricately and tightly around my ankles and wrists, with the clear goal to keep me from moving from my current position.

The ropes were tied tightly around the edges of the bedposts, so my legs were spread, and so were my arms, like a human X.

Strangely, I couldn't feel the material. In fact, I couldn't feel anything. I hadn't realized I was on a bed until I saw it and the same for the rope.

My head fell back onto the bed suddenly when my strength gave out.

This situation is truly dire. Tied up, extremely weakened, and unaware of anything beyond my current area was simply a recipe for a disastrous fate.

Giving up would only make this situation worse though, so I twisted my head to my right. The goal was simple: find something to free me from these ropes.

There was a nightstand and a window, but that was covered up. Horikita's room was on the 8th floor, so escape from there would also be an escape from life.

On the nightstand was an alarm clock, and a roll of duct tape. What could the duct tape be for?

The rooms are soundproof so silencing any noises I make would be useless. Then again, that could annoy her so that might be why she has that nearby. Additionally it could be used to restrain me if the ropes ever get loosened.
