Chapter 3: Arrival

The morning sunlight streamed through the large windows, casting a warm glow over the dining room. Jhoanna entered the room, her eyes immediately catching sight of Luca, who was already seated at the table. He was dressed in a simple yet stylish outfit—dark jeans paired with a crisp white shirt and a navy blazer. The ensemble complemented his tousled hair, giving him a polished yet effortlessly handsome appearance.

"Good morning," Jhoanna greeted, her voice warm as she took a seat across from him. She couldn't help but notice how the outfit suited him, highlighting his sharp features.

Luca looked up, meeting her gaze. A shy smile played on his lips as he replied, "Morning, Jhoanna." There was a moment of silence as they exchanged looks, the connection between them evident but understated.

"You look nice," Jhoanna commented lightly, a small smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.

"Thanks," Luca responded, his cheeks flushing slightly as he glanced away. "You too. Her confidence bolstered by his compliment.

Before their conversation could continue, Robert entered the room, his presence commanding attention. He smiled warmly at the sight of Johanna and Luca interacting. "Good morning, you two," he greeted, his voice carrying a tone of pride.

Robert then turned to Jhoanna, his expression softening as he placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Jhoanna, I know you've got that big speech at the assembly today, and I just want to say how proud I am of you. You've worked hard for this moment, and I'm confident you'll do an amazing job."

Jhoanna beamed at her father's words, feeling a surge of confidence. "Thanks, Dad. I really appreciate it."

The family then gathered for breakfast, and as they settled into their seats, the conversation naturally shifted. Robert and Lydia began discussing how excited they were that Jhoanna and Luca would be attending the same academy. "It'll be good for both of you to have someone familiar around," Robert remarked, his eyes flicking between Jhoanna and Luca.

Lydia nodded, her expression thoughtful. "Robert was also telling me about your choice to pursue performing arts, Johanna. It's wonderful that you're following your passion."

Jhoanna smiled, grateful for the support. "It's something I've always loved, ever since I was little."

Robert leaned back in his chair, his gaze softening as he looked at his daughter. "I know how much performing means to you, Jhoanna. And I want you to enjoy every moment of it." He paused, his tone shifting slightly. "But I also hope you'll consider my proposal about managing our business in the future. There's time, of course, but I want you to keep it in mind."

Jhoanna nodded, understanding the weight of her father's words. "I will, Dad. I promise."

Meanwhile, Lydia turned her attention to Luca. "And what about you, Luca? Have you thought more about what you want to do?"

Luca shrugged, his expression neutral. "I'm still undecided, to be honest. That's why I chose General Education Studies. It gives me time to explore different areas and figure out what really interests me." He paused before continuing, "I want to make sure I'm making the right choice for myself."

Robert nodded approvingly. "That's a smart approach, Luca. GEN Ed Studies will give you a solid foundation. It's important to be well-rounded, to understand yourself, others, and the world around you."

As the conversation continued, the families finished their breakfast. Robert stood up, signaling the end of the meal. "Well, it's time to get going. Luca, if you needed anything just ask Johanna alright? Also make sure he gets settled in."
